As the title says - Line 6 needs to come out with a lightweight powered bass cabinet! They have the PowerCab for guitarists but have left out us bass fans. BOO!

Why No Line 6 "BASS CAB"?

What is it you want out of a Line 6 that's not offered currently?
Would love to see something as light as a PowerCab but built specifically for bass modeling. Maybe even with bass IRs built in. 1x12 coax, etc....
The cab wouldn't be where the IR loader would be (at least not typically) as you'd likely also want that to be part of your signal sent to the board.

Guitar cabs are more often than not mic'd. Bass cabs less frequently. I believe this is why I haven't seen any bass rig with IRs in the cab.
Also, saying all high end FRFR solutions use coaxial drivers is a pretty far stretch. It's one way to do it, and it's interesting, but it isn't a must IMO.
I think you may just be too far in the minority in terms of the market on this one.
Until then maybe check out some more FRFRish bass cabs: Audiokinesis, Barefaced, Greenboy, etc.

It is one way to address phase issues, but one of many. Hardly the only solution. If you feel you can't get great sound out of a FRFR cab without coax then I suggest you try more.
You're talking to a Fearless user btw, who relies on amp emulation similar to the modeling guys. Yes, it's a little different, but I'd argue my goals and needs are the same.

Yeah, market driven and after a small splash these aren’t exactly flying off the shelves so don’t hold your breath.
I know its not the same as a power cab, but i had one of these seems like many years ago.
I'm a little confused. Are you guys debating the location of the tweeter in the cabinet or the need for a tweeter at all?
Much better powered bass cabs on the market than anything L6 would offer
They would sell 20. I don't think any of the Line 6 bass-specific items sold in sufficient numbers. Now we're a firmware addition to the guitar gear.

Depends on your budget. Accugroove will make any of their cabs powered. Bergantino did some in the past. Those would be my first 2 choices if I were looking for powered but may not be considered FRFR.
