why shouldn't i get this cab?

tell me why i shouldn't get this over any other $600 4x10. "because it sucks" is not the answer i'm looking for. :) Is seems like an awesome cab. I'll be running a qsc rmx 1450 with a sansamp on it. I just ditched my ampeg 810e to downsize (for mobility reasons) I know i'm going to miss that huge sound. i'm just trying to find the next best thing, thanks

i know, i know...try before you buy. Everything i've looked at around here and gc doesn't have anything i'm interested in and all the mom and pop shops don't have anything either. makes it hard to try anything. i never tried the ampeg before i bought it and loved it. my 410 i had before that somebody built me sounded awesome too. it had 4 10" eminence deltas in it. i kinda feel like if i spend the money and like my i'll like it. i'm more concerned with something that can handle the power. the tone seems easy to shape from the head to me. i know a lot of people disagree. anyway thanks for the input. keep going. :)

these specs are pretty killer!:
4 Neodymium 300w 10” woofers,
- Titanium HF driver
- Imp: 4ohms, power handling: 1200 Watts
- Reproduces Frequencies from low B (26 Hz to 22k Hz)
- Sensitivity: 104dB @ 1w and 135 dB @ 1200w
- Size: 24W x 18D x 27.75"H, WT 76 lbs
- Heavy-duty 31/2”casters
perhaps the x-over/ tweeter is where costs are cut...
cheaper wood could also cause resonant frequencies.,
-the same issues as with any cab.
neo speakers, however, have a different sound compared to regular ime (i currently own modern versions of both types)
but if it lives up to the specs, why not?

You can't try the DR bass stuff either, and they seem to be selling pretty well.

I think the neo Carvins look pretty decent, I've considered two of the 4 ohm 210's myself.
Their website sure sucks though - I really wish they could at least the the dimensions correct on the BRX210.

.

IMHO, if you want a reason not to buy the Carvin, the Dr. Bass 2460(now with a deeper cab option) may be a better replacement to your former fridge with a much wider & more even frequency response for the same price. I would love to know the rolloff of the Carvin @28HZ, but I guess they don't want to publish it.

Because an Avatar B410 Neo is $409 new, and there are 100's of testimonials on this forum as to how good of a cab it is.

ahh! Good answer! I'll check it out. That is what I was looking for. I'm weird I guess. I'll do research online, read reviews, and listen to examples before I buy something. I get the whole try before you buy thing but I generally trust that if I spend the money on something that I'm not going to be disappointed. I've really only bought one amp that I wasn't happy with and I turned around and sold it for more than I bought it for. I'd sure like to to try everything before I buy it but as i said before, there isn't anything to try in dsm. I can go to gc and try all of their ampeg stuff that i don't want or all of the their entry level rigs. that is all anybody has. I'll do some research on the avatar. thanks

You're not going to get burned but, you're use to an 810e and this is going to be like going from a bull dozer to a lawn tractor. As for comparing it to the Avatar, pretty much the same thing, probably the same drivers, computer designed cab, how different can they be?
