Got the round-over and tummy cut done and it's not even noon yet

Ok, day off from the post office was great! (They all are actually)
Got the neck trimmed and headstock cut out.

Cut a channel for the wires from the neck pickup

Cut the control cavity and mocked everything up to see how it looks.

And even left sawdust and shavings out to appease some people

It looks awesome. I said it before, but neck-thru Teles are super-cool, especially with woods and craftsmanship this nice!

Edit: with your P pickup that close to the bridge, I strongly recommend reversing it.

I second that! Us Dutchies take tremendous pride in having a perfectly clean and immaculate workspace!

That Tele is coming along nicely! I like your control cover, is that a brass plate backing or just conductive tape? Looks neat!

Brass plate. My local hobby store stopped carrying copper.

Nothing better after a long day delivering mail in the freezing rain than getting home to my workshop and making more progress on the build. Didn't do much, but finally got the first body wing glued up.

Took a slight diversion from building this morning to go to the winter Ohio guitar show. Picked up some small parts for the Tele, like strap buttons and a jack plate. Also got a good deal on a schaler roller bridge.

Then came home and got the bottom body wing glued up .

On vacation for the week should be able to get the neck shaped and start sanding everything out.

Nothing goes better on a snowy Ohio morning than coffee and the smell of soldering flux.
Got the control plate all wired up and ready to go. Volume push pull puts the neck half out of phase, tone push pull puts the bridge in parallel, and a blend pot in the middle.

Cut off the end of the neck blank, routed the roundover on the end and stood back to admire my mornings work.

Next up... neck shaping! (Always nervous about this part)

If it’s what I’m thinking of, I’ve done that “half out of phase” mod on a couple of 2 pickup guitars. I like it.

Kind of has an "AM" radio sound instead of full on out of phase. And as a bonus, if you solo the neck pickup it gives it a low-mid bump.

That’s the one. I’ve put it as the two neck most positions of a 5 way switch. I didn’t think of using a push/pull. Or using it on a bass.
