If that bass doesn't deserve a $150 bridge....what does???
My brain agrees with your logic, my pocket book, not so much so.
It's a fancy bass. Gotta have the fancy bridge.

Not to worry or anything to get your undies in a bundle, it's part of the process.
It's like cooking, a pinch of this, .......a dash of that.....
BTW, Scoops cooking tip for the day, when making Chili, alway include Bacon and beer in the mix!
Are you planning string-thru or top load? If you have to recess the bridge it might make top-loading a problem, or at least make you route a space behind the bridge. Hipshot makes this cool transtone bridge that would let you top load but spacing is 19mm

Are you planning string-thru or top load? If you have to recess the bridge it might make top-loading a problem, or at least make you route a space behind the bridge. Hipshot makes this cool transform bridge that would let you top load but spacing is 19mm

I wonder if you could just recess the pins and the bridge so it is still fully functional. I think it would look cool. It is really cheap which scares me a bit...

I looked up that bridge and it's both top- and front-loading. Looks like a nice one.

I have been looking for something like the Badbird for a while, and now that the people here at the LC pointed me in that direction, well I just had to go there.
It will just go so nice together
