Not for a five-string. I’ve searched for years for a five-string tune-o-matic; they’re just not available in the aftermarket.

Visually, the chrome BassBars are cool - very shiny and blingy, but also a bit futuristic looking. And they sound awesome in my experience. Not sure if you’re looking for a chromed-out aesthetic, or something more restrained?

Not sure what I'm looking for. But I put some alumatones in another bass and I was happy. This is an impromptu sort of thing that just .....happened....and it just happens to be WALNUT

I have Aluma Tone Bars on the fiver I play most. I'll see if I can force a string to touch it and see what it sounds like. I can't recall ever having a string touch before (or maybe they do and don't make noise?). I love those pickups, they sound great - the one thing I don't like about them is that you can see into the pickup route underneath. I don't know why, but that bugs me. I've installed them with only routes for the legs, which I think looks better, but still it's not perfect.

Keep in mind that the poles are the recessed grey/black blades. The shiny aluminum bits are the coils. Strings hitting the coils might momentarily ground out the coils but it would be a different sound then the usual string-hitting-the-pole click.

Not much out there in fiver bridges that really does it for me...this is an Allparts closeout ABM brass bridge I used on Wavy Wally. One piece raw crotch walnut body, Aguilar pickups, passive.

I think black or at most nickel hardware looks good on walnut. Chrome is too cold IMO.

I thinks I might be able to get away with chrome. I know what you mean about the coldness. The colors I have are warm, the cold might be a nice offset.
I'll probably change my mind about 50 times before I actually find the combo that I like.

There's something to be said for those that have Illustrator

I figured out how to make the route narrower, and you don't see in. I think the recommended route is for an EMG35. That's too large
