Winter Build Off 2022 - Get Ready

I draw like @dwizum . Parchment and poster paper with a center line, reference marks for bouts, horns, etc., bridge/nut/12th/24th, string paths and fretboard width, then start with the body shape. I'm an artiste, (pronounced with fancy French accent and a disapproving look) so no French curve is necessary for me, but I recommend them to other inferior people. :cigar: I use a mechanical pencil and machinist's rule for details and a 2H for sketching as it erases cleaner. This whole process can make some really lumpy gravy, so one needs to take time and keep at it. The dining room table is perfect for this. :D

It's a drafting tool, they look like this -

I'd kill to look that young again.

I get it, but I console myself with the knowledge that "young and pretty" usually equates to "näive, shallow, and dim-witted". At my age, I'm happy to trade superficial beauty for deep wisdom.

Fortunately, I enjoy both vast wisdom and a distinguished handsomeness….

Thinking about the idea of finishing the Cerberus bass for the build off but....

Firstly, the neck is already done......
Secondly, the body is going to need a lorra, lorra elbow grease to render it usable.....
Thirdly, I'm crap!.....:bag:.....

So.....I'm gonna finish it but I won't be participating fully in the build off.....

If it's ok with you guys & gals, I'd like to post a pic of it here when it's done....

No hurry for an answer.....:roflmao:.....
