Winter Build-Off 2023: Twin Tigers!!!

Assembly, Phase 1!

First the bridge wire. Here you can see my method for grounding the bridge. I like this much better than running the end of the wire to the underside of the bridge tray. No issues with bending the plate or gouging the finish anymore!

So it's just a piece of copper shielding soldered to the wire?

As simple as that! The solder joint is recessed into a hole under the bridge. The copper shielding makes contact with the bottom side of the bridge tray. Without a wire there, the tray can remain flush with the body.
 
The bridge is final set into position and I've got the nut slotted. Still need to polish it up but this will get the job done while I work on final setup. Action is floating just barely above the fingerboard and playability feels pretty amazing. I've found a few high spots to address and will get that done next.
