Today is template day. I finished gluing up the neck pocket template.

Put together the pickup template.

And lastly, the bridge plate template.

Once all this cures, I can start epoxy-ing the body laminates as the new epoxy arrived.

I foolishly started opening it with bare hands. It's sticky in there. I'll wait until I'm ready to use it.

There's still lots to do on this build, and it's only a partial build. How in the world do I used to do scratch builds? No wonder it take Alex 4 years to build a bass...

So while watching the epoxy cure, I started tapping the holes I drilled in the bridge plate for the bridge pieces. And the next thing I knew, they were done. So I sanded the bridge plate to 400 grit and screwed down the bridge pieces on. I set the string spacing to about 18mm, which is about the same spacing as my KLŌS bass, which seems to just about right for me, so I'm going for it.

The good news is that the upper body wing is out of the clamps and seems to have been cured well.

The bad news is that while trying to remove one of the clamps stuck to the piece with a knife, it slipped, and I stabbed myself in my left hand, which required 9 stiches. Ouch.
