When you have a moment, could you share a little bit about how you make the template for the curved end of the heel? Are you just tracing it out and cutting it by hand and fussing with it till it fits?Installed the tuners this morning and put together a neck routing template.

Since I had the table saw out, I was going to put together a template for the pickups and bridge block, but I ran out of steam. I'll do that another day.
That's pretty much it. I clamp a 2" piece of plywood strip on each side of the neck, and then position a third piece under the curved end of the heel. I trace that, go over to the oscillating sander, and keep sanding until I get the piece to fit both the heel, and between the two 2" clamped plywood pieces. Then I glue it all up.When you have a moment, could you share a little bit about how you make the template for the curved end of the heel? Meh, that's not the first time that knife has tasted my blood. Probably won't be the last...I dunno, Bruce, once they’ve tasted blood….
Stop giving it more! The last thing you want is to give it positive reinforcement.Meh, that's not the first time that knife has tasted my blood. Probably won't be the last...

It's the same rule I always have followed riding (& crashing - especially back when I raced) my bicycle - back in the saddle as soon as you can. Hope it heals well Nex -After the physical repair to your hand is taken care of, the important thing is to go back in the shop and pick up that same knife and continue using it. Don't let it intimidate you. It got you that time, but you're still the Boss. You are still in charge of it.
Thanks Jio! Today I find out if the stitches come out. I've already been back to the doctor once, but it was too soon apparently. It's the same rule I always have followed riding (& crashing - especially back when I raced) my bicycle - back in the saddle as soon as you can. Hope it heals well Nex -
