Winter Build off - Mash Up - Get Ready

the more I think about this, the less I think I'm going to participate. I've got a couple ideas floating around in my head, but nothing appropriate for this challenge. I think I'm going to focus on making the bass I want instead of fitting into the contest, maybe that will change in the next month, but I don't think so.

OK,

Just hoping you find something that appeals to you for the build off

Sorry to hear this, I was looking forward to what you might mash together. Hopefully there's a way we can unnecessarily pressure you into joining. :D

@Jisch

I totally get where you are coming from.

There are days/weeks/months where I struggle to come up with ideas for a build
There are days/weeks/months where I don't have enough time in the day to document my ideas

Same is true for building. There are days where I don't have the time to complete all I want to do, and there are days that I avoid the workshop (This happens mostly in the sanding/finishing portion of a project)

I think the important thing here is we need to be comfortable in what we are getting ourselves into, and if we are not comfortable, our efforts will show that.

Exactly. The design I shelved, I had spent a fair amount of time on, bounced a few ideas off of an artist friend of mine, but ultimately decided that I wasn't feeling it for that one, at least as a mashup.

Would this be considered a mash up? I have an idea but I realized that the mash up isn't really a mash up anymore with more acoustic parlor basses being released like the Taylor GS mini, and Ibanez pnb14e.
