Dang that's pretty! And my favorite Rick shape droolIt’s pretty wonderful. Close-grained like maple, density about like maple, machines about like maple. I love it!

the more I think about this, the less I think I'm going to participate. I've got a couple ideas floating around in my head, but nothing appropriate for this challenge. I think I'm going to focus on making the bass I want instead of fitting into the contest, maybe that will change in the next month, but I don't think so.
Sorry to hear this, I was looking forward to what you might mash together. Hopefully there's a way we can unnecessarily pressure you into joining.the more I think about this, the less I think I'm going to participate. Peer pressure is a b!tch... :-DSorry to hear this, I was looking forward to what you might mash together. Hopefully there's a way we can unnecessarily pressure you into joining.![]()

I know exactly where you're coming from. I had 2 builds in mind that were going to be 'My next builds' and would have fit perfectly with the Gibson theme. Then the theme changed to mashups.... Had one (still undisclosed) idea, then two others came to me very serendipitously.Ok, ok, I'm in. (not really, but I'll think about it more).
Exactly. The design I shelved, I had spent a fair amount of time on, bounced a few ideas off of an artist friend of mine, but ultimately decided that I wasn't feeling it for that one, at least as a mashup.I think the important thing here is we need to be comfortable in what we are getting ourselves into, and if we are not comfortable, our efforts will show that.
Would this be considered a mash up? I have an idea but I realized that the mash up isn't really a mash up anymore with more acoustic parlor basses being released like the Taylor GS mini, and Ibanez pnb14e.
