Thunder-backer!
I dont have the skills to try something like this and when I saw the drawing posted nu @wraub it just clicked into my head. I guess I was hoping to inspire that build of a RickenBird/ThunderBacher. Lol
This is very true, take a Pic neck and put it on a Birds body. Going deeper though, if Ric had made a Thunderbird how would the body look. Pretty sassy says I.The simplest Rickenbird would be a Bird with a 2+2 "Wave" headstock at 33.25" scale.

The NR feels more balanced to me.
Very cool, semi-hollow, carved top, reverse, mosrite?Yeah, I agree
I'm on a drawing kick this morning.....How about a reversed Mosrite with a little tweek to the upper horn. Probably replace the lower horn with a trimmer Strat horn

Creative juices flowing again...

What if you brought the lower horn straight down a little bit? Maybe a little down and back??Seems so.
I was actually thinking the same thing. In messing around with this, I discovered that the top horn on the design here is nearly identical to a Strat upper horn. I put in a Strat lower horn back a bit, and viola! Center line isnt quite in the right place, but that can easily be moved. Looks like I might be putting that one into CAD.

Here I have the upper bout of a Ric bass, and a lower bout of a NR Firebird
