Winter NAMM 2011 rumour mill!

Do you have any idea of what the price will be? This looks cool but over the past few years the Lehle stuff has climbed in cost to the point of well beyond worth it IMO. This isn't exactly a Lehle product though...

I am not really sure about prices in the US (as I am from Europe).
But the price is going to be announced next week at NAMM.
Jacques (CEO of RMI and creator of this masterpiece) is going to be at the Lehle booth.

I want one!! What's it do? :D lol

I should not have come here, considering I am DONE with my board.

+1 :hmm:

Whoa! Me likey.

Being a filter junkie, definitely want to check that one out. I've found my perfect (regular) filter (3Leaf GR1/GR2), so it's interesting to see some filters with extra flavor. Just put a Pigtronix EP2 on my board, it'll be interesting to hear what the Tremvelope sounds like.

Dude, I bet that would be TOTALLY awesome with a POG2!

Man, NAMM isn't even technically HERE yet. Subscribed!

5sg.

After reading that Premiere Guitar review of the Green Rhino, I'm pretty pumped. I don't like using blenders, and having up to 12db boost at 100Hz would be pretty nice to keep it full in the low end. Of course, this is all hypothetical (and I'd rather it were at 80).

It doesn't take a month for various bloggers and magazines to post stuff. There will be updates on the web from various sources everyday of the conference. The youtube type videos at NAMM don't exactly have a lot of post production. I would guess 90% of what's shot at NAMM is on the web by the Monday after or sooner.

does somebody know if there is a website about NAMM? where people who can't make it there can watch what's going on and see all the new cool stuff, or do i have to wait until it's over and watch uploads on youtube month later :/
No... you have to look at a lot of forums and sites to see all the new stuff...

I've been making an overview for several years now, but it's only the first time I'm going myself, the previous years I just used what I saw online. I suppose I'll see much more now as some things aren't covered by other people (like cheap Chinese stuff), I notice the same thing when I go to Frankfurt (Musikmesse).

I try to be as complete as possible, my visitors have to decide for themselves what they want to see or skip :)

Lexi (the eternal descent creator) is a cool guy. He posts on the ESP guitars forum about his comic book and the stuff he gets up too.

A video explaining the Lyra pedal will probably be out soon. It should retail at $100-$150

Presets:

1-Crystal Cascade
2-The Morass
3-Etheral Entity
4-Devine Lead
5-Lyra's Lightning
6-Dark Blues
7-Crushing Chaos

This is a good video of him in the studio with Eddie Kramer and Billy Sheehan working on the eternal descent album.

Get psyched.

Features:
• 40 millisecond to 1.00 second BBD Delay using NOS BBDs.
• Largest dynamic range possible from a BBD Delay using -15V BBD ICs.
• Tap Tempo footswitch control of echo delay time with tempo rate LED.
• Knob control of echo delay time.
• Soft takeover between tap tempo and knob control. Tap the footswitch, its delay time is in control. Move the knob, the knob delay time is in control. Move freely between the two controls.
• True Bypass, Active Bypass and Active “Trail” Bypass, letting you hear the echo trail after switching to bypass mode.
• Mix from 100% Dry, 50/50 Mix to 100% Wet.
• Tone Equalization control.
• Specially tuned flat feedback response to below 100 Hz.
• Excess Feedback includes a limiter in the feedback loop for infinite sustain echo without annoying feedback howl.
• The combination of feedback limiter, tilt tone filter and modulation options make this a wild synthesized tone generator. No input is necessary except a dummy jack to activate the power circuit.
• LFO Speed and Modulation Depth controls and modulation enable switch.
• Wide range of LFO modulation shapes: sine, square, sample & hold and diffusion
• Diffusion is an exclusive mode never before heard from any BBD delay, spreading the sound into a “cloud-like” atmosphere.
• Powered by +9.6 V 500 mA or greater power supply.

Awesome. Glad to see it finally come to fruition. Given how good the 616 is I'm guessing it will be incredible. Go Malekko.

Is this the one where there was setback after setback,...promise of a release date then nothing (for like...2 years)? If it is I agree with your sentiment TBO. I definitely am putting my delay quest on hold till I can check this guy out.

I'm glad that I ever mentioned to everybody I could that we need a rehash of the old Roland Phase 5 pedal. So glad he put it on a trem. Wish I could take the credit but i bet there are countless people that have said the same thing. I can't find the email i thought I sent to Mr./ Koltai, so I'll just chock it up to the power of prayer.

If only it were me and i had a reason to get sent comped pedals.

What a reason to find the right guys to play mind melting music with.

What new pedal is a remake/rework of the phase 5? :hmm:
