Winter NAMM 2011 rumour mill!

I hate this time of year. Whenever I read about something to be debuted at NAMM, I suffer from the GAS.

The only thing I dislike is that some companies announce awesome stuff I want, but then don't have it commercially available for another 4 months.

Wow

I can't wait for clips of this :D

Memory Man with TT? Color me interested,....still want the 919 though.

Talking Machine? Vocoder?

RE the Looperlative,...considering the LP1 has an MSRP of ~$1250 it be nice if the LP2 was competitively priced.

According to www.ehx.com...

The programmable Stereo Talking Machine, Vocal Formant Filter, presents creative vowel shaping that is controlled by the player’s dynamics. Nine selectable Voices deliver vowel sounds such as AH-OO and OW-EE.

Sounds like it's sort of a semi-talkbox. Doesn't hold much appeal to me.

Looks like that Malekko 919 has a tilt LP/HP filter like the SMMH. This is an awesome feature for bass as you can filter the lows out of the repeats to prevent the lows from getting too muddy.

Shame they made the blend 50/50 in the middle, that's one thing that pisses me off about the SMMH, it can result in a volume drop at most settings. I prefer the 100% dry with effect level knob as on the Carbon Copy!

Yeah, I think that the DigiTech BSW will do pretty much what the Talking Machine will do, but you can buy it for $50, instead of whatever EHX will be charging for the TM.

If the Talking Box is as fully featured a formant filter as it looks, then it will be way different than the BSW. There's an advanced formant filter on my Axe-FX, and you can get some really interesting/crazy sounds out of it that would be tough to find in a pedal that has less specific features than that EHX pedal has.

I'm surprised they put out a Nano Mistress though- I never thought there was that much demand for the modern Electric Mistress to warrant it.
