Winter NAMM 2011 rumour mill!

If the Talking Box is as fully featured a formant filter as it looks, then it will be way different than the BSW. There's an advanced formant filter on my Axe-FX, and you can get some really interesting/crazy sounds out of it that would be tough to find in a pedal that has less specific features than that EHX pedal has.

I'm surprised they put out a Nano Mistress though- I never thought there was that much demand for the modern Electric Mistress to warrant it.
But wasn't most of the reason for the lack of interest in the SEM that it was just so freaking noisy? If they were able to correct that in this new, smaller version, it might just be a killer little pedal. I dug the soundclips of the SEM that I heard.

Actually I'll be interested to demo the Nano Mistress. I have been using my original DEM forever and if the NM can do much of what I use the DEM I'll definitely be a happy camper!

As to the rest of their new stuff, I don't know ( the MMTT is cool) but I'm such a EHX fanboy that I always get a thrill outa new stuff from them even if I'll never use it! :D

The mini-Looperlative is awesome and I am also curious abiut the DECO FX, especially the Blender and Para EQ (love the graphics).

Same here, but their website is just pictures of the pedals with no content, for me anyway. :/

List price is $550

Looks like someone needs a definition of "parametric"...

Xactly.

Where da Q at?

If they were asking for semi-beaucoup bucks that'd be one things but that's a lotta coin without bandwidth control.

I have to say that those are some of the snazziest looking effects that I've seen in quite a while, but the Empress is a true parametric EQ and gets the job done even if it doesn't look as spanky while doing it.

$300. Preorder is $270, which I'm seriously considering. International shipping and handling is $70 though (not to mention all the fees that'll get added on which it reaches UK customs) which is all that's stopping me at the moment.

Would you mind sharing where you got this info for the Looperlative LP-2? I'm seriously considering it as well, as it is cheaper than the Boomerang and has what looks like very nice switches for easy looping.

The Looperlative website. Add one to your cart, and you'll see the $30 preorder discount.

The LP-2 is a different type of looper than the Boomerang III. The Boomerang III is a multitrack looper, which is great for structured songs as you can switch back and forth between parts. The LP-2 is targeted in a different direction; there is only one track to record and overdub on so it's less suited to normal song structures, but there is a large amount of loop manipulations available, so you can do a lot of unique/ambient/weird stuff with it.

What the dilly with Malekko these days? IMO, the graphics are a total cop out. Not to be inflammatory, but do the Omicrons sound decent or is the small size/limited feature set some kind of gimmick?

I can see not liking the graphics, but its a pretty cool unified theme that required some planning, definitely not a cop out. Its not easy coming up with something like that. Also, it was noted that with the line, everything that is digital will have black labeling and everything analog will be white. The stuff is supposed to sound pretty good, but most of it is guitar oriented.

However he is brining a polyphonic octaver and a bit crusher into the new line, so that's pretty cool.
