And a wall of cool Cigar Box guitars.

Back to GR Bass to see the amazing Remco Hendriks jam.

Groove-a-holic, by Remco Hendriks

When Remco was setting up (getting his pedals out, putting his cables in, etc.), Case came over and asked him who he was getting all the gear ready for, and that whoever it was they were probably really good.

Duvosin

I went back to check on Remco, and he said for me to follow him to Duvosin, because they made the bass he was playing. His pickguard is Stingray hide, and they had another bass that was covered with it.

They were explaining to me about the bridge system. Each string has its own bridge. The unique part is the how the string connects to the bridge. You remove the ball, and loop it on.

The basses are 3 volt active, and have a tiny little light to let you know when they're dying.

They are engineered to know when they're just sitting on a stand, and will automatically shut off after a few minutes in that situation. They said the artists who tested them were able to go a year without changing batteries.

Came for the carrots, stayed for the basses.

My brother doesn't have a booth this year because he doesn't have anything new to show since last year. We were going to go just to walk around, as he never had time to actually walk the show because he was always manning his booth - but plans fell through. Maybe next year...

As it turns out, I caught a bug this week anyways, so wouldn't have been able to make it.

Thanks again for all the pics!!
