At this point, the reason I want a wishbass is specifically for the headstock.

I smell a marketing slogan: "Wishbasses: buy them for the headstock, play them for the sound!"

I have to say, the Hyper is my favorite wish shape. That has to be one of the best looking wishbasses yet.

Yeah, if I didn't have one on order... I'd have to pull the trigger and Buy It Now. But I think if I have him make me another, it will be a 5 or 6 string Hyper. Maybe with Ebony fingerboard and Kent Armstrong.

Let us know what he says about a custom headstock design, I'm curious to know... Also curious as to what you have in mind for a custom headstock (i assume you mean a more standard headstock layout than the open "wish" kind).

gonna email him tomorrow, well i'm considering a V like body shape and I want an open headstock thats pointy to go with the body shape, considering a kind of sloping pyramid shape. On a side note anyone have any experience with an all rosewood bass (indian or a sub for brazilian).

I would say that with a Wish, there can be delays if he doesn't have the imported wood you want. Probably best to stick with domestic woods - or stuff he has on hand - unless you want to wait awhile.

based on the quote to answer a previous question it seems wish doesn't charge much extra for custom body shapes however i assume it's also based on the amount of skill it takes to make the shape and lets face it a V isnt that hard to shape as long as you can draw a straight line

I have to say, the Hyper is my favorite wish shape. That has to be one of the best looking wishbasses yet.

I have a hyper (#350) with a KA soapbar...mine's figured maple and purpleheart...heavy as the dickens, but comfortable and sounds AWESOME!

I emailed him and asked him about it. He said it would add $100 to a bass but he didn't like making them because they are "weak". So i'll stick with his open design- I'm not sure I'd want him to implement something he believes up front isn't a good idea

He hasn't been putting much up on ebay lately, says he's working on custom jobs.... like mine, I hope.

When I first ordered mine, he said it'd be done in mid Jan. but I guess he's had some tools breaking down on him. I'm itchin to at least see a pic of it, but hopefully it won't be long now.

yeah, I've been in touch with him, but if it takes longer - that's okay. He said that my order got on the bottom of the pile. I'd just like to see a pic. I think I'll ask again.

Your Hyper almost made me buy a wish a year or so ago. I still might...
