this isnt the sketch i sent wish but the body shape is the same

Great design! However, I wouldn't set your expectations too high with the top scroll and other intricate curves. I've seen a lot of custom designs in Wish's workshop, with the finished instruments only resembling the originals by their general shape and overall dimensions. Much will depend on the quality of wood he uses. Perhaps Wish will surprise you.

In case anyone points it out I do realise that the 'bridge' is awfully close to the pup - maybe some issues there - and I've got my sandpaper standing by just incase, but for $300......!

The bridge and pup are pretty close on my JB Wishbass. Not really an issue.. it gives a lot of treble to the signal as you might guess it would. I was just boosting the bass at the amp, but then I found the "Wishbox" and that really made the difference.

He didn't really make mine exactly like I requested... but I'm happy with mine. I sent him a photoshop of two wishbasses - combined, and got fairly much what I asked for...

yea i only hope he makes it to proportion because i can clean up the body shape but i dont want to have to do too much and even if the scroll is sloppy ill just get some chisles and file and go to work

Just received my bass and there are no issue with the bridge/pup locations.

I'm amazed at how good this bass is! Sure it needs some finishing and I can't help thinking what another 30mins on this bass might accomplish - maybe another $100 of resale or so (who knows?), but for $300 I can't complain one iota!

I intend to refinish so I'll post some picks when I get around to that.

I guess I'm member #276. I bought my Wishbass a little over three years ago and I love it. I'm a weekend warrior who swore to himself a long time ago he'd never pay more for a bass that he did for a month's rent. So far I've managed to keep that promise and stay busy gigging with no complaints on tone from anyone.
