Nice looking bass. I'm going to say without. Right now it's classic with a modern edge, but clean. I think covers would overwhelm the bass.

Are the bottom covers supposed to be black? If so....

With or without regular chrome covers should be up to you. If you like how it looks, good for you.... put them on. But more importantly, they are very hard to play with for many people (including me) as they get in the way and cab cause pain when your fingers hit them.

I have 2 P basses with the original covers and they have never touched my basses. I only keep them as I want my basses to be 100% original if I ever want to sell them.

P.S. If it was my bass.... without would absolutely be my choice.

If it was mine, and not my only bass, with chrome. I only pick 2% of the time, but I would want to be able to do that. Other than that, they would not get in my way, and they look cool.

If it were me, I would either leave it alone or just use the neck pickup cover.

Without. I vary the sound of my bass by moving closer and farther from the bridge, and the cover would block me from a section of that range.

i for one think it looks great both ways, on & off

the question is,, what do you do with this bass ? does it mainly stay at home,,in the case,, not get played much,, but just get's polished & shined up all the time, just to be admired... i say.. on

if it goes out to the studio,, rehearsals,,, auditions,,, gigs,, often.. i say.. off

or....

you could just put on one....

I always put a cover over just the neck PU on all my jazz basses. It gives you a nice place to rest your thumb and it makes it look very elegant. I was never a fan of the big ass bridge cover, thats too much.

Sweet bass though, It will look pimp no matter what you decide

I've never been a fan of Fender ashtrays. I say without, but if you have to put them on the black is just butt-ugly.
