And what about all that space around the pickup?
That would bother me every time I picked up the bass to plug in.

Hell, I've heard people complain about a one-millimeter gap between the pickguard and control plate on a Jazz bass.

In this case I'd go clear PG or none at all if you can live with screw holes. The finish is too pretty to cover up.

For some reference, here is mine with a white ice pickguard and a plan black one laying on top. I felt the plain black one did a better job at bringing out of the paint color.

That pickguard and that body are like wearing plaid with camouflage. It's just too much. Either a black pickguard or no pickguard (depending on how much bling you wanna see) would work much better.

My OCD would always see the holes. I'd say plain, bright white, or clear.

Either way the lack of tort or black make it look great!
