Thanx for the comeback . Question , how it compares to Alnico 5 please , never tried a Neo- Magnet PU . . H ave a nice one

They have the punch of ceramic and the warmth of alnico. They produce a lot of low end also. But it's all a balancing act. The pickups had to be designed for neos.

David has a lot of samples on his website:

It's kind of a crap shoot, though. His preferred tones and mine aren't the same. I use flats and almost never blend pickups, usually preferring the neck pickup. I'm a P-Bass guy, I think he's more of a Jazz Bass guy.

That said, his ND3 P-Bass quad coil samples work well for more of my kind of tone. All the same, go through his samples. they should give you an idea of what the pickups sound like.

Other than some technical assistance now and again, I get nothing from David. I've never met him and I've only bought one pickup from him. I am definitely inclined to use his services again, though, both as a pickup maker and perhaps as a luthier some day.

Thanx buddy , I ll have a look

Here's two pics of the first MM cover 8-coil pickup. It can be wired either older or newer Wal way. It's about 5mm taller than MM cover (24mm total height).
