Wood Matters Club!!!

Count me among the likes of Nordstrand, Pedulla, Lawrence, Tobias, Wynn, Skjold, Marleuax, Dingwal, etc.. who say that wood does matters. Always amazes me that guys who have never built a bass will actually go against the opinions of these master craftsman! Sorry, but I know some of these guys and the argument that they stick to this opinion because they make more money off selling exotic woods to players who don't know any better is total BS!

Here's some wood that matters to me...

My Woodstock NS2J special edition figured walnut Spector beauty. Very mid to low mid focused and screams like a jazz on steroids. Love this thing.

PS - Grendle posted some great YouTube clips on another TB thread that explains how the Fender custom shop goes about selecting their tone woods for guitar bodies and necks. Interesting and just one more hunk of wood matters data totally dismissed by the wood doesn't matter crowd.
