words most often used incorrectly

People who put things in quotation marks that are not quotes. Used "Honda" Civic. What famous person once proclaimed "Honda"? If it is a quote, credit the author in a footnote.
Also putting things in quotations makes them sound dubious. "Fender" Jazz bass- That sounds to me like it never saw the Fender factory.

"I" when "me" would be appropriate. Example: "She said she'd make dinner for you and I tonight". That only works if you're a rasta....
My BIL uses "couple" for anything from one to one hundred.
"It's just a couple of blocks away." turned into 12 blocks.
He also says "I wouldn't mind..." when he means "I'd like..." He will not ever say "I'd like..." It becomes tiresome.
