Well, the OCSD replaced the JDI on my board so it was easiest to just go with what I was doing. Had all the cables and stuff. I could dump the Rolls and just use my tuner and OCSD, but it's almost more hassle to do that than just use what I have. The Nano is VERY portable so...

Well, I already have my Noble, I'm thinking, from what I've read from all the reviews here, that it'll be another type of awesome ... Plus I was looking for something for silent practice after the kids hit the sack...
My thought is to run my effects into the OCSD.. then use my IEM's ...
Then of course I'll use it at church for bass and EG ( unless I end up preferring one of the Joyo pedals I just got.. for E.G.)
Thanks for posting your setup! Do you feel the OCSD really improves your sound when you are going with a clean signal? So many of the demos have distortion before the OCSD. I am looking at getting an OCSD mainly for all the connectivity options.Nothing wrong with simple...

I would say if you are going to use one pedal to go direct, it's the OCSD.
With the right cabling and a clip on tuner, I could conceivably use only the OCSD. Use the OCSD DI (as I currently do) to the mixer,
send my IEM feed to the aux in on the OCSD
plug my IEM's into the headphone out (with volume control) of the OCSD
use a clip on tuner
Thing is I like the quick tap and mute/tune of a tuner pedal so I'll probably just keep using my Nano board. It's not that big a deal.
Thanks as well for the IEM setup as well. I have a Tasty Blender between the church's Aviom and my IEMs so that I have limiter to protect my ears. I was thinking of going out of the OCSD (either using the through or using the headphone jack) into another channel of the TB so I can have my bass signal independent of the FoH sound board.
It does help a clean signal. Never needed a bass signal separate from the FOH/IEM as we control our own mix via iPhones so there's always enough me.
Thanks! I can control my mix at the Aviom, but I am looking to blend in my own independent bass signal so if someone rides the faders or tweaks the gain mid service (which affects the mix), I will still be able to hear myself.
Sure. It all depends on your sound guy. Riding faders shouldn't matter to monitors if everything is set properly. Input gain changes would effect it of course but you shouldn't have to mess with those after levels are set. Fortunately our sound guy is a pro (it's his day job) so we don't have to many of those issues.
I think I have read that some folks use the B3K or B7K as a preamp only, without turning up any gain/drive. I'm still running the VMT myself ...
I like the warmth of the vmt deluxe but sometimes it sounds a little fizzy. I like the clarity of the b7k but sometimes it comes off a little sterile. Last I check none of the music stores in my area carried darkglass, but I should check back and see if thats changed
I am glad that you do not have these sound issues. On several occasions, one of the sound guys changed the gain between services and there is no sound check before the second service to correct it. I find the issue as we start playing the first song (and I have to pull out one of the IEMs and try to hear what I can from the PA or subs. I mentioned the faders as some people have posted issues with that due to their sound setup.
For now, I have been taking my Tone Hammer 500 head as a DI and boosting my gain from the stage (along with having talks with our sound guys to let them know what happens to the Avioms when the gain is changed at the board) has solved my issue. I am hoping that I can achieve similar results with the OCSD via its gain (which I have read is strong enough for use with a PA) or by feeding a signal from the through or headphone jack into my Tasty Blender. Then I will leave the amp head at home and have less to carry to church (and have a headphone jack and aux jack to boot).

OmniCabSim on the way - AND IT ALL YOUR FAULT! At least that is what I told my wife - she did not believe me for some reason. Per USPS it should be here Thursday, so I can use it Sunday.

Hey! What does exactlythe OmniCabSim does? So I have a half stack with 410 an an ampeg head, If I use that can it simulate a 810 cab? And is it a DI? It's kinda confusing sorry.

I received my case from NYC today and it is as well built as I expected. I am starting to wish I'd bought the wheels, but thats my fault. I am very excited to get this setup and configured, but that might take a bit!

Yes, I'm most concerned about it once everything is installed. However, all I really need to do is get in to the truck and up a few stairs at church. I use a Cart every where in between. Specs are below.
