Bass does sound great. If I weren't playing a Roscoe 5 I'd have another Lakland 55-02 for sure. I always liked the oval bridge. Very distinctive. Loved the 2 I had before I found Roscoe.

I have a friend who put P90's in his Les Paul and it sounds fantastic.

Never sell...I don't understand these words. :cool:

Yeah, I forgot I've had that cable for a couple years at least, probably going on three. I think the strap on my Roscoe is one I've had since high school so that is my longest running piece of gear. That'll be tough to beat.

It is a pretty amazing bass. That's why I decided not to mod it. (I may get it Pled'd on day but it's so expensive to ship basses these days) It's a never sell. My wife would (rightfully so) kill me. Always looking for an excuse to post a pic - even on a pedalboard thread.

If you'd ever heard his blue Custom Shop Strat you would ;)

As they say... "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self- control. Against such things..." My current bass line up and purchase years... Aria SB700 1982, Wal Mk 1 1993, Tony Revell acoustic bass 1993, Wal Pro IIE 2001, Frankenjazz 2006, Faith Titan Neptune acoustic bass 2013... ah "But," you ask, "how many basses have you sold?" Well, one... a 1989 Squier Jazz that got Frankenjazzed and sold on in 1999 to help fund my acoustic guitar... and that's it. As they also say, "Buy wisely, buy once!" I still love every one of those basses and they are going nowhere any time soon!!! :D

16 years for my Lakland. I had three basses before that - a HORRIBLE Fender Jazz Power Special ( I REFUSE to buy another Fender!), a Tune Bass Maniac 4 and an Acacia 6. I have been playing almost 18 years now - I did drums/percussion/other stuff before that for over 30 years.

I guess I'm just a young whippersnapper bass player!

Never been a huge fan of phasers on bass (on Star Trek... that's a whole different matter! ;) ). This is the modulation section on my modest board...

I'm mostly looking to add textural variation within different tunes or sections and these are my faves for that. The chorus is set pretty mild - more to give some aural sparkle on the D and G strings (which is where the effect seems to be more pronounced). I'm using flats too so there's not that much treble going on in the sound any way. And I leave in plenty of unafffected sound with the blend knob.

I am hoping that they invent phasers in the next few years! Just think of it as an alternative to cremation - *zap* and you are gone...no muss, no fuss...

However, my wife has nixed that idea - apparently, cremation is OK, phasing is not. I also suggested this company in Florida that will load your ashes into fireworks so you can go out with a bang at a party...NOPE, not OK, either. I then suggested a company that will take some of your ashes and make them into a diamond and then cut it...she does not want me hanging around her neck for years. In addition, trebuchet into the ocean -NOPE!; canon - NOPE!; concrete for a reef - WHO does that?; launched into orbit - costs too much; and launched to 30,000 feet with a large balloon - you would land on someone's head.

I'm running out of ideas here! Luckily, it will be a bunch of years before I go and they might just start using a phazer!

Just kidding...my wife is an AMAZING lady and I love her dearly! Coming up on 42 years of marriage - she MUST be a saint to put up with me!
