This is a rabbit hole that applies to much more than pedals for bass.

Well, technically there's only one pedal on that board, but I guess we can let you in on a technicality.

I guess it's really not an "effects" pedal board. I call it my DI/IEM board.

I always get a kick out of my friend @SteveC being one of the more active posters here. I think sometimes he is trying to convert us pedal sinners.

I'll try and steer him back to the EFX-side (into the light???) this Sunday at the GTG.

Counterpoint, mostly I agree that they don't notice. They certainly couldn't explain what they are hearing. But they may hear things they can't explain. Some will be able to appreciate a well-crafted tone even if they don't realize it's an octave into OD into a phaser.

This is definitely how I feel.

No conversion of sinners, just speaking out for little board guys like me. It is called a tuner pedal, right?

Whelp... here is my little update to my board.

Added:

ZVEX Sonar Tremolo
MXR DC Brick

The brick was $50 used at a Sam Ash. I will replace both of them with a bigger power supply (probably the 1 Spot Pro CS12) but for now, I need to stop spending money and start saving again haha.

One more update!

I replaced the two power supplies with a Truetone CS12.

I also added :

Mesa Boogie High-Wire Dual Buffer
One Control AB Box
Future Impact v1

I also now have all soldered cables on the board instead of having the solderless cables that I made. I used Covenant Cables for the custom lengths that I needed. The cables are pretty high quality and shipped fairly fast! The Square Plugs that they use are GENIUS as well! Check them out!

The board is pretty darn quiet and works very well! I've used it during worship once and I did not have any issues. I will be using it again this week for worship and next week for my band's (The Atlanta Jazz Players) show at The Patricia Vaughn's Cultural Art Center.

I'm keeping my Compressore, but uh, no, y'all did not.

So far, at home, I like the standard output as opposed to the balanced output, as it gives a cleaner and more defined signal. That's also why I picked up the Minnow. The Broadcast can give me a little (or more) drive when called for.

Been listening to demos of that Starlifter. It's a magnificent beast. The most "studio-like" tone I've heard out of a preamp yet. I'd have to sell 4-5 pedals to buy it, but it might be worth it. How are you managing the different power supply requirements?

I purchased a T-Rex Chameleon Power Supply that mounts underneath that powers the Starlifter with the cable they offer and my other pedals. I've owned and compared the Starlifer to the Mesa Subway Plus, Shift Line Tube Preamp, Noble, RNDI, Firefly, Reddi and others and for me nothing comes close to what I can get in a live setting. It's the most smooth, clear, and thick bass tone I've ever had in my FOH and IEM's. Starlifter is crazy good and dead quiet.

I use the extra space for my IEM amp and my DI.
It's handy.
