Yeah, the THIRD time I bought (and sold) a Tone Hammer was her breaking point. And recently I bought a Ken Lawrence Brase I 5-string after selling two others several years ago! :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Been messing with this today at work through headphones. Kinda cool sounding if gain is back just a tad.

Ok y'all. I've given the Proton a fair shake. It has some cool sounds, and a great pedal, but it's just not what I'm after. I'm starting to think that maybe a filter just isn't for me...
My loss is your gain. I'm tossing it out here first to you wonderful folks before the classifieds..It's literally brand new.

Again not realy an effects board post, but Sweetwater has the Yamaha MOXF6 synth for $999. There are like 80 Orestes for bass and bass synth that sound amazing stock. Plus all the other sounds. Uses the amazing samples sounds of the Motif. It's bigger than I'd like at 61 keys but the sounds are so good and require no tweaking or adjustment, it might be worth it.

What about Yamaha MX49 (I have the 61-key version)...Motif sounds, great value at $549. Certainly can't go wrong with the MOXF6 at $999 though...

Right. I have looked at the MX49. It is more mobile for sure, and more affordable at about 1/3 the price, but according to my sources (former music store/Yamaha dealer employees) it doesn't have the same sounds as the MOX keyboards. And the bass presets I've heard in online demos are simply the best I've ever heard. Yet when I listen to a side by side the sounds are pretty close. Maybe close enough for a part time bass guy in a live setting.

Sweetwater takes returns. The synth and snag are about $600. Not a bad price for Yamaha quality.

Looks good! Now, if you got a Pedaltrain volto or something, you wouldn't even need to plug in power anywhere! And you can avoid ground loops too.

OR- get a headstock tuner (ik ik, then you don't have a nice mute, but isn't that what the volume knob is for? :p ) and then you only have to run your audio lines. Super clean! :D

I've thought about using a clip on tuner but I'm spoiled to the step/mute tune convenience. I mean I could get used to a clip on and turning the volume down I suppose, but I have the case wand all...

I'll rethink if I run into issues. The 1Spot should work ok I think. I've never thought about a rechargeable thing like that.
