Worship Bass Pedalboards

Hi,

Im new here and looking for some feedback on my plans for a new pedalboard.

I’ve used the Sansamp BDDI v2 for a few years (TC Polytune -> MXR M87 Compressor -> BDDI) and it was pretty good but I never liked the flabby low end when pushing the drive on the BDDI.

I’ve used the HX Stomp standalone for a while also but I don’t like the compressors in it (seems like I’m very particular about compressors) and I was thinking of picking up a Cali76. Then I thought why not move back to pedals since I’m already going to use the Cali76.
I’m thinking of moving to this pedalboard:

I’m planning on using the C4 for sub octave and synth bass stuff.
Hoping I’ll like the Tone Hammer AGS drive. Signal flow will be from left to right, the VT will be the DI.
Since I like a really compressed sound, I’m debating between keeping the VT or getting an LA2A style compressor pedal instead for a second stage of compression. I know the VT will have some compression as well so I’ll just have to test it.

I was just about to ask him something similar regarding the micro-synth...particularly which song(s) for that particular setting in the photo?

Well in full transparency, that shot was just me having fun exploring the synth sounds. The BMS is new to me so not much real world application, but based on what I've seen/heard from others blending in a little sub-octave, square wave, and filtering can really add some depth and texture to high-energy moments in anthem-y songs a la Elevation or Planetshakers. @dwagner even did a little video featuring the MicroSynth a while back:

Thanks. I've had my micro-synth for maybe six months, but it hasn't left the house yet (has barely left the closet lol). My micro-synth board will be similar to yours when I do finally have a use for it.

First pic (smaller board of the two) is my typical setup for church...I'll often swap out the Drop for a JAM Waterfall chorus pedal depending on who's singing and if I'm confident we won't have key changes (I play a 5 string, but muscle memory for certain runs/fills still give me problems if I have to transpose on the fly on Sunday mornings and the Drop saves my bacon on those occasions).

I don't necessarily want to haul a bigger board equipped with the BSM, so on the rare occasion when I could employ the BSM, I'll take the wireless receiver/tuner and Cali 76 and toss them onto the smaller board in the second pic and roll with that.

Hey all, I've got a Darkglass Vintage Deluxe v2 coming in tomorrow. Anybody using that for worship and in what context? Always on or only for added dirt? I have a Sansamp BDDI already. Would this be enough to replace it or would it make sense to potentially feed the Darkglass into the BDDI?

Don’t have the VD2, but I do run an alpha omega into a VTDI and love it. They compliment each other quite well in terms of synergy and gain staging.

I picked up an Atlas and have been trying your snappy preset. Really nice!

I wouldn't say "better" - I really loved my Tone Hammer. The mid controls on the Tone Hammer are great to me. I like the cab emulation offering on the SuperVintage and the drive is a bit more intuitive/usable to me. The SV can have a lot of dirt, without being brittle. It still feels and responds like a warm tube amp. So in that regard, I prefer the SV, but I wouldnt say it is leaps and bounds better than the Tone Hammer. I also like the cab sound vs strictly dry DI sound.
