Yes it does, I have 3 patches currently set up. 1, clean 2, mild overdrive 3, square wave distortion
It has fuzz as well but I haven’t programmed that yet.
The drives are pretty awesome and you can really dial in your sound with the adjustable crossover and hpf/lpf filters.
The eq is 4 band fully parametric which is great but I tend to run flat eq a lot of the time. And I haven’t really used the compressor that much, it did sound pretty musical though. My Lull V5 sounds really nice through this.
I kicked my Tonehammer off the board for this, it is a much better option for what I do.

He is not getting Microsynth tone from the stomp, rather just switching in the actual Microsynth through the effects loop, correct?

I'm noticing that many of these player have mostly limited the stomp to effects. That makes a good use case for the HX One, that keeps staying on my board week after week.

I almost went with that. But before it was available I decide on a Stomp as it could also be my bass synth. It’s a great unit though.

Yeah the stomp is a great unit.
I tried one for a while and then a Helix LT but I could never quite get it dialled in.
Spent too much time tweaking presets and not enough time practicing

Agreed. Although the stomp is legit. I never used it the way it needed to be used and I sold mine.

Gotta love Bryce! I made a point of going to a worship service he was playing while I was in Dallas earlier this year.

He sounded absolutely massive & his tone was impeccable!

Interesting how the HX Stomp is essentially redundant in his signal chain.... A MicroSynth sound, an additional Octave, and a Chorus.

Seems like he is using the Stomp to be a volume control for his bass micro synth. The BMS pedal really needs a volume knob / slider!

How are other people managing the volume / output of their BMS outside of the Stomp?

I'm finding I need to shift to fingers when I kick in the BMS, then I have a lot more control of the device's behavior.

Haha you’re not wrong, it is more than just the big worship thing though. There’s a fantastic video from years ago of a guy playing with let’s dance by David Bowie using the bms and it sounds phenomenal. Kind of a jack of some trades, masters not the right word of none…. The sounds it does do work well though, hard to argue that.

Yes, I'm regularly amazed at the wide variety of bass tones used in modern worship music. Everything from delay/reverb delicate passages, to heavy drive, pick attack, lots of octaver opportunities, to bass micro synth. Way more fun to play than routine rock/pop.

If you are playing with it engaged and you step on the f/s to turn it off, is there a couple of seconds of silence before the bypass signal comes through or does it come through right away?

Ya know I just let it do its thing. Since I feel like the guitars rarely ever get big in worship music something else has to. In the context of build up and such the volume jump isn’t that noticeable anyways. Just elevates everything. No one has complained yet, and honestly nothing but good comments.

I think this is a great insight and helps explain why a lot of the bass parts are so huge and effected in worship music. Lots of space to work in. Great observation.

You may have noticed thay the Nobelium is back on the board for this weekend.... My Bassdude started causing the same popping issue as yours. I reached out to Nathan this morning.

Oh yeah, I'm sure he'll get it sorted. It's probably something simple like a capacitor that needs to be coupled/decoupled to/from ground.
