Worship Bass Pedalboards

I realized the IMA sig preset had a studio pre and simple EQ block at the end to essentially copy a noble. So I was sending that EQ into the noble. Needless to say, I deleted those blocks and we’ll see what happens tomorrow. It sounded fine with the khan vtdi, but I knew something was fighting with the noble.


Part of me wants to build a bigger board with a Cali 76 stacked comp, maybe a dcx bass, and something else in addition to the stomp and noble but I need to be patient and learn the stomp more. I know it and the noble are more than capable of anything I need on bass.

My first ever service is down and it went amazing. Was happy with the tone I was getting and got a few compliments which definitely meant alot.

that’s hard to beat. Bass included… what is it? I’ll give you bonus points if it’s a squire CV 60’s p bass!!!

I’ll keep the stomp around for octave, chorus, and synth stuff more than anything else.

Solid selection. I’d also want a chorus pedal but that’s just me.

Hehe, yeah it's an American Pro ii. Those Squiers are sweet though.

Nice! Playing worship music has been the most rewarding musical experience for me. The board looks great. That PC-2A really adds some nice color to the tone.

Week 2 of using the Moog. We did Jesus Paid it All. It sounded great. I turned the attack way down to get a nice rumble without a peak up front.
I'm glad I decided to get the 25 key version. Even without the octave button, it has enough range for what I need...well, so far. But, it's easy to carry in and out each week. It may be 15-16 lbs and it's small enough to maneuver around crowds of people.

I tried Mikos settings on the Grizzly for Graves into Gardens. It worked really well. It was more of an always-on breakup type of OD. I usually crank the OD more and use it in place of a distortion, but I like this too.

I don't get a chance to take too many photos. We are usually busy in the morning with sound check and run throughs/rehearsals. I did manage to take a few quick pics 2 Sundays ago.
We set up the bass in front of the keyboards because we didn't have a keyboard player that morning. I'm doing triple duty--bass, Moog and covering up the missing keyboardist.

Here is my pedalboard. I just replaced the Alma with the Bondi comp. The settings on the pedals aren't set.

Thank you, I can definitely agree there. Even with only one service down it was a very cool experience. Yes the PC-2A is great. The color it adds running into the Tone Hammer I really enjoy. Running the Rattler into both of those yielded a really nice drive when utilizing a pick.

In our set we covered The Joy and Take You At Your Word, and I used those three pedals combined with picking and I really liked the results.

I played EBMM Stringray 5's almost exclusively for 20 years... And then I tried a Dingwall a couple years ago— That B string absolutely ruined me & now all I own are Dingwalls. :roflmao:

With that said.... If you love the B string on your Stingray and prefer not to change things up I highly recommend avoiding Dingwall like the plague ;)

The settings certainly worked, especially for that song. I will certainly use that tone again, but I don't like adjusting levels mid set. Especially on the Grizzly with the amount of gain. So, I'd have to decide at sound check how much drive I'd want for the service and stick with it. Most of the times, it will be the higher drive, but it's nice to have something else to pull out when needed.
Did you try the Jellyfish yesterday. I'm curious to hear. Is the Trickfish still an option?

I owned a Dingwall probably 15 years ago. It was a nice bass with a great B string for sure. I think this was before they had their version of P and J basses. It didn't take very long to get used to it.
I have an AV P5 bass, and he is currently working on a J5 for me. The P has a great B string, and I'm hoping the J can replace the EBMM.
