Good way to put it. I haven't tried the Jellyfish, but the other two really retain the lows--I'm assuming it's the same with the Jellyfish. These pedals can be kicked on for something extra without losing what's already there. I have some other overdrives that are more guitar oriented, and they sound great for certain things, but I have to adjust what I'm doing (technique, etc) a bit to get the best out of them.
PSA: If you buy a used Moog, consider resetting it to factory settings.
Mine sounded great, but some things didn't seem right. The oscillators were still present at the bottom of the filter sweep konb--the envelope filter attack, decay and release knobs didn't seem to have an audible affect--the presets were very similiar (which I didn't use anyway)--the oscillator two tuning knob wasn't unison at the center position--and maybe a few other things.
No complaints on the tones I was getting, and I wanted to get it on stage quickly, so I didn't really put much thought into it. Plus, it's my first synth, so I didn't realize it the first few days. I thought I just didn't know it well enough. But, the more I dove into it, the more I realized that there were probably some functions that were modified. So, I reset all the global parameters and now it's a whole new instrument. Much better. The only problem is that I have to figure out how to get those same sounds I was getting. Shouldn't be too hard though--it will be fun even.

This 100%. Start from complete scratch. Itll benefit you in the long run anyways.
Yeah, one thing I was thinking was if I learned it the way it was, even though it sounded great, it wouldn't translate to other synths.
My newest additions to the board arrived today. Unfortunately, too late for me to really dig in today, but tomorrow will be here soon. I will say, I hope they sound as good as they look.

When I played for sound check he looked over and said "that's the best bass sound I've ever heard". Drummer came in on his talk back and said "I need to get up right now, but I can't stand up"…
and you read that right… do not hesitate to try the khan vtdi on an acoustic guitar. My buddy was playing a very expensive Collings, with a very, very slight touch of reverb through my khan vtdi and it was glorious.

I read red tube DI and immediately thought REDDI. That's one piece of gear I'd buy back.
Have you had an opportunity to review the Livestream yet?
Have you made sure everything upstream from it is set to unity?
The reason I ask is because I got an opportunity to try the Bassdude tonight. Running my super hot Dingwall Super J (18v Active) at unity it was clean up to noon playing with a pick and would begin to breakup when I really started digging in. With finger style it was clean till about 1 o'clock.
Were you able to resolve the popping issue you were experiencing?
I had no issues with that tonight. I was powering it from a DC7... Maybe your power supply isn't providing enough current?
Yes to the livestream, rave reviews from the other bassist, he couldn't say enough great things about the tone. It was the tone I have been chasing in my head with none of the weird twang on some of the notes here and there, just smooth goodness. However, it is on its way back for a check up. I am powering from a Cioks Sol so power shouldn't be an issue. To be sure, I tried it by itself through a 1 Spot and it still was popping. Upstream was set to unity when in the chain and it didn't matter if I placed the tuner before or after the Bassdude, the pop was still there when I engage or disengage the tuner or any other pedal in the chain. I put the Elementary back instead and everything is perfectly quiet. Another oddity, if I am playing and disengage the Bassdude, there is silence until something inside drains off then lets the bypass signal through. Something is not quite right inside. I am sure SushiBox will make it right, he's a great builder to work with.

Gotta love Bryce! I made a point of going to a worship service he was playing while I was in Dallas earlier this year.
He sounded absolutely massive & his tone was impeccable!
Interesting how the HX Stomp is essentially redundant in his signal chain.... A MicroSynth sound, an additional Octave, and a Chorus.

Such a cool piece of gear with tone for days!
He is not getting Microsynth tone from the stomp, rather just switching in the actual Microsynth through the effects loop, correct?
I'm noticing that many of these player have mostly limited the stomp to effects. That makes a good use case for the HX One, that keeps staying on my board week after week.

Cool. Does it have an overdrive channel? Bergantino gear is always great.
I would definitely stop in to see him play. But, I'm stuck up north....
I wonder if he uses other patches on the HX. A chorus and an OC2 would fit there.
Tuner, comp, octave, od, chorus, pre....That's how I roll too.
