there's a lot of people with the certifications that can't fix a sammich so keep on keepin on!!
you already found a tonehammer?!
if you get a bms on the way in the same day… you just confirm that we know you have a problem![]()

Calamity is the way.I tried the David Curran BMS patch on the stomp and it sounded a bit like a toy BMS.
For anyone trying to get a BMS tone on their rig without the expense and size of the BMS, I have found that the Broughton Calamity Big Muff clone after an Octave device is very very big sounding and gets close. I also tried the Pork and Pickle fuzz and it's not even close to the hugeness of the Calamity/Octave combo. For those week where I need a BMS-type big chorus but don't need the exact Bethel BMS signature tone, the Calamity/Octave works great. Plus, the Calamity by itself makes for a good OD tone (the fuzziness gets diluted in the mix). I'm very happy with the Calamity.
Current state of the church board as of today….and still waiting on my capo…7 weeks now. Jeesh

Not many Broughtons on the other board there.
Gotta love Keyword Alerts
But I always appreciate any additional assistance from the team... Sometimes work gets in the way of monitoring the Talk Bass Classifieds![]()
there's keyword alerts??!! Maybe I'll finally get a Broughton subsonic.
Kind of struggled on what to use for my return to playing church services. Was thinking of a HXS, then a HXS into a Khan, or maybe a HXS into a capo, or Caveman into a reddi, or Capo into a Khan…..phew. Bought, demo'd, and return/sold quite a bit of gear. It got a little unnecessarily overwhelming.
Settled on the Capo and a comp (inserted into the Capos post fx loop). I have a new Cali76 on order. I'll try it when it gets here. What ever sounds the best with the Capo will go on this board. The other comp will go to my other board that's delegated for band use.
My little church board is ready (pedal train Nano Jr and fits in a mono tik bag).

Haven't tried it. I like the idea of compressing the clean signal though.Has anyone tried the Gladio pedal?
I saw it on someone's board but I don't remember who. I think it was a rig rundown video.

Very nice. This will sound great. Maybe add an Octave pedal. The MXR Vintage Bass Octave would fit and they sound great. The Octave pedal is so useful in contemporary worship music. My little church board is ready (pedal train Nano Jr and fits in a mono tik bag).View attachment 5456187
That was a Bryce Vaughn video where the Gladio was newly substituting for his DCX bass. I've been following them on Reverb ever since waiting for a good used one, but rarely appear. I would love to try one. Pricey and no track record here TB.Has anyone tried the Gladio pedal?

honestly… any of those combos would work great.
I think we all fall into analysis paralysis sometimes.

I feel like one of us should buy one & send it round the circuit.
Yes, they will. I asked them about that a couple of weeks ago when I bought the new Cali76 from them in the store. I wish I had realized they stocked it, I would have tried it out.I wonder if Knox Guitars would sell me one sans Tax since I'm in California. Hmm.
