Oh thank you, that means alot! The V Mod weren't a bad pickup, but I could never quite get the heft in the E string that I wanted.

So to my ear the Lollars have both a tighter low end, with more depth and clarity as well. The mids feel more emphasized and present, and the top end is bright but not harsh. The V Mods felt more muffled in comparison.

First time out with the synth bass station. Lots of positive commentary from almost every worship team member.

I've used that exact same Buttkicker bassboard with the same transducer at one of our local churches over a decade ago, and that's a strong transducer with just a passive bass... I can only imagine a synth going through that board. hahaha.... but that board is the reason why I made my bassboard. That model transducer is way stronger than mine. I have a smaller buttkicker version, and it's stronger than what I'm currently using. Only reason why I don't use it... it's just a little too tall, and heavy.

Wow, what a great set up. Would love to hear some audio posted sometime soon of your new synth @projectapollo.

I played synth bass on my bass guitar today.

SFX Micro-Thumpinator > Xotic EP Booster > Origin FX Cali76 Compact Bass > MXR Vintage Bass Octave (OC2 settings) > Tone Hammer w/AGS > HX Stomp Chorus > Neptunium

🤌🏽 Sounded Great! Nothing like a real bass synth though. That's my next big purchase.

There's a lot of cool things you can do with drives in the stomp like use an expression pedal to control blend or gain levels. You can also play with crossover splits if you want to drive specific frequencies.

I really like the teemah drive synced with 2:1 deluxe comp on a split path so the comp is only affecting the drive. I find the stomp drives to be a little thin. The deluxe comp works wonders on that.

Hmm. That is useful information. I wasn't happy with the fuzzes and the octaves, but I stacked a few effects on one switch and I'm really liking the results. Right now, I have a comp, eq and octave for my octave switch. And I stacked an OD and fuzz for my fuzz switch. I really like the Alpaca Rouge by itself for OD. But, I'm still learning all the ins and outs.

I got the set list for Sunday. Goodbye Yesterday, Whole Heart (Hold me now), I Believe and King of Kings.
I should be able to get a feel for the overdrives on the Stomp with this set list.

I'm primarily using the OCD, and valve driver for my tube like OD.
I run a parametric EQ, crossover split set at 200hz. In the low pass I put a gain block so I can boost lows to taste, and my over drives in the high pass. Set the other end of the crossover split where it comes back together to the level you require.

Hey thanks! I send 2 signals to FOH.. clean & dirty. Sometimes we use both, others just 1. Depending on how I'm feeling.

tuner > Cali76 > JHS splitter/buffer

Clean: Noble
Dirty: Octabvre > LVL > BMS > HX > Bass Rig

I would say that I was very happy in particular with the Bass Microsynth in this context, the Octabvre is a wild card though.
