Worship Bass Pedalboards

Man, I starting to GAS hard for the Sansamp XB Driver to replace my Agro and Digbeth Pre. My fave ever overdrive was the RPM preamp (other thean the Fender Super Bassman), and for many, many years my board was centered around the VT Bass deluxe. From initial listening to reviews it sounds extremely versatile.
I did a search in the and could only find one reference to the XB. Has anyone used one or have any first hand experiences with one?

I moved on from the Tone Hammer 5 years ago. Was often finding the low end a bit too boomy and wasn't in love with the AGS. Moved to Broughton (Messenger(s) and then the Studio One. Using more drive/distortion/fuzz pedals I use the LPF to tame the top end and can get the low end tightened up with the HPF. Works great for me but with how popular the Tone Hammer has been I have wondered if another try would change my opinion. I'm pretty happy with my current setup though, and like the flexibility with Studio One. I've harped on it enough but I was excited when the THv2 came out hoping they added a level knob for the AGS circuit, and when it was more of the same I decided to pass on it.

I said just last night that at sound check, where my P with flats killed my active 5, that I may just not care for active basses any more.

Maybe i found my BMS? It blows my mind that I can run the Clam into the Subsonic and it tracks well.

Running my large board tomorrow. My Agro was noisy last time (unusable noisy). The power there has always been on the difficult side to say the least. Always weird gremlins. Not just for me thankfully. Bought a Cioks Crux to give me more power outlets, ran the Agro on its own outlet and then at home practicing this week I could here noise (whining). Disconnected the LA-1A which is powered by the Crux, and everything is silent. rerouted power so the LA-1A is powered of the DC-7 and the HX Stomp off the Crux and it is much better. We shall see.

Contacted Cioks regarding this and they said despite being on isolated outputs it still can happen, maybe via patch cables. Changed the patch cables to and from the Agro and no change but haven't tried the ones to the LA-1A yet. Very annoying.

I've run into a couple of situations where a specific combination of pedals gets unusually noisy. Change the sequence and it's fixed. It's some interaction in the 1/4" that I've never understood. It wasn't hiss or ground hum, more like white noise.

It's hard to say with so many things in play. I can't test at home in headphones. The RNDI is the one component I have blind faith in, that it is an improvement. I just admire the Neve legacy and industry reputation. The new RNDI-M looks cool, that helps. Cheaper, smaller, same circuit.

Sounds like a great combo. I'm starting to like my Subsonic pedal now that I'm using it more often. I'm also starting to use the red button on the Kilt too.... during run throughs... haha... I always change my mind playing live... LOL. Someday I hope to have the David Funk confidence in using the Kilt fuzz live.

Maybe it's only me... but I really never noticed how bright LED's were until I got my Subsonic pedal. It could be because it's the first pedal I've used with bright white LED. It made me notice how bright all the other pedal LED's were. I found LED Dampers at my local music store... it was the last package in stock, so it was worth a try for $6. I just laid them over the LED's to test. I liked it, so I installed them on all my pedals... except my tuner since it's always (LED is off).

I've got a Joyo ZGP power filter on the way for my ToneX One that's I'm trying to run on my mini board without a property isolated power supply (due to size limitations). They seem to get good reviews. Might try it on the agro also to see if it makes a difference.

I think I've posted this one before but 100% this is the best signal chain I've ever used. Settings as pictured. It's punchy and warm but still clear and defined. It's all the things.

If it wasn't for the 70's chorus in the stomp it would be gone. Man I love that chorus so much. Also using it for octave and drive which take serious time and effort to dial in but it can be done.
