Finally got my cable nightmare under control. I have been playing a lot with pedal order and I finally got it to where I wanted it so I cleaned everything up and locked it all in. So much happier now.
I love it, I have never really gotten along with an octave pedal, but this one I really like and actually use
After running tuner > cali 76 > b3k > Noble for the last ~5 years, I built a new board. Very happy with this setup so far.
Love the Kaamos - the octave in parallel is super fun. Haven’t played the Doom 2 much yet, but I think it’s gonna be great.

Some updates on my board re design.
-The Stomp is off the board. It has a lot of great features, but what it excels at--chorus, delay, modulation--I don't use a lot.
-I dug through all my current pedals. I'm definitely keeping a HPF on the board. It really tightens up the lows.
-I'm leaning away from a compressor. Partly because it can be added by FOH if needed and partly because I'm not sure it's 100% needed. This may change though.
-I picked up a Greer Amps Lightspeed. It's a phenomenal transparent overdrive that doesn't lose the lows. It's fairly low gain OD--no Rat distortion in this box. But I think it will have enough drive to cut through.
-Speaking of Rats, I have been looking around for a box with more gain. Either a Rat or maybe I'll put my Cog fuzz back on the board.
-I'm keeping the same Shure wirelss and Noble preamp that I've had for a while.
-I'm up in the air about an octave pedal. I haven't used mine much since I got the Moog.

I use the Cali to even out my string attack and sustain notes. With it, I can pretty much achieve at least 30-60 of notes. Haven't timed it, but I've had no issues sustaining single notes clean or into the octaves. As far as rats, my next one is the Big Booty Judy. I'm a huge fan of rats, so it doesn't hurt to have more options. I'm also enjoying the Unclean by Non Human Audio. Didn't use it this past weekend, but it will be used next time up.
I'm still up in the air about the compressor. One of things I've been doing is running the song list without and without certain effects to compare. Sometimes it makes a big difference. Sometimes it doesn't. And sometimes I prefer it without.
There's no harm in having it on the board, but I thought it would be interesting to think about which pedals I 100% want if I was limited to only a few. And then go from there. Right now, those pedals are the Shure, HPF and Noble. The Lightspeed could possibly be the next keeper.
I won't decide on the configuration based on that, but just thinking about it has been helpful in nailing down this board re-do.
Ever since it came out, I was curious about it. It seems like it's a winner. I'll have to look into it more.
I've seen a few pop up for sale and I think it's that not having a master volume throws some people off. To me it actually makes sense in a pedal like this though. I'm picking one up in the next few weeks.
The Darkglass Kaamos suddenly shows up on a couple of worship boards this week! Tell us more. Use cases, tone, features. Always looking for a Bass Microsynth alternative.
I haven't personally used a BMS, so I can't speak to it. The Kaamos is great because you can use the drive and octave separately or together. The drive is very versatile and sounds great on its own. If you use them together, you can run the octave into the drive or parallel (my favorite setting) so the octave down is clean with the drive on top. It adds so much heft to my sound in the right situation - especially on some massive final chorus or outro. There's also a FX loop that allows you to put another pedal in the Kaamos in various positions, so you can get really crazy if you want to. I haven't tried it, but there are some demos on Youtube that showcase it nicely.
I use it in some capacity pretty much every Sunday - it's my favorite pedal since i got my Noble almost 10 years ago. I just got my Doom 2, so I'm gonna spend the next several weeks seeing how they play together.

That makes a lot of sense. Its not hard to configure you just have to know how the controls interact.
Volume - Overdrive/Distortion circuit level (NOT overall level)
Drive - Overdrive/Distortion Gain
Blend - Wet/Dry mix of clean bass and pedal
Filter - Low Pass Filter (like the original Rats)
Switch is A/B for Rat/Turbo Rat
It is a Fender American Precision Performer PJ Bass in Satin Lake Placid Blue. I bought it new last summer from Corner Music in Nashville. I put a Fralin P pick up in this spring and changed the black pick guard to a Fender white pearloid. I love this Bass, it sounds amazing and plays like a dream.
I put a Fralin in my Lakland US Glaub P-bass, also LPB. Very nice. I picked this bass up used from a Nashville recording pro.
