Yes, I'm sure that is the case. When he posted the Washed video it sure sounded like an octave pedal. I'm intrigued with the idea that he is using the light speed in the stomp effects loop. Love the sound he is getting from his bass in the Washed song.

Lightspeed is my new jam. Picked it up based on some feedback here. It's an amazing sounding drive, very dynamic, and simple with only 3 knobs. Everything but the sidejacks.
Building this at the moment… still needs power hooked up. Funny that my Aguilar Tone Hammer DI, Aguilar AG pre/DI, and Broughton SVPre are all sitting off to the side while the lowly BDDI v2 made the cut. It just does it all if you know how to use it.
Are you able to dial any low end back in? Or maybe it doesn't need it?
I find it doesn't need any blend. Though the Frequency (really a Tone knob in practice) is set at about 11 for me. Above noon it exencuates the highs, so it can seem like it's losing low end but really just boosting the highs. This is also dependant on how much drive you have dialed in or how much you boost into it. It's easy to find a happy place.
The Greer Lightspeed is really good at retaining low end. It can do low gain always-on saturation really well on bass and is a good alternative to the Tone Hammer AGS thing in a smaller package. I see Nick has the gain on his Lightspeed maxed, making it more of an overdrive. In my search for a small board alternative to the Tone Hammer AGS, I've tried: DCX Bass, Cornerstone Gladio, JHS Morning Glory Clean, and Xotic BB Bass Preamp. The Lightspeed is probably the best alternative. It's not cheap, can do 18v for better bass guitar operation, but has side jacks, and has high resale value as guitar players grab them regularly. But going back to a bigger board, I used the OG Tone Hammer again and it still really does its thing very very well.
Bonus Observation: The JHS Double Dragon really nails the Nick Edwards tone on Washed.

Didn't realize the Lightspeed did 18v. Pedal says 9v, but confirmed the website says 9-18v.

Have you noticed much of a difference between 9 and 18?
Not significant but maybe if using a pick and digging in may reveal the value of 18V?
Seems like using the Stomp only for an effects loop is kind of a waste? Of course I use mine with one preset and no effects so same for me. But there are other devices made specifically for that task, right? DO those drives not have some kind of wet/dry control? Whatever works I guess.
It's probably not just for blend if he's even using that, it allows you to place the drive loop after octaves and before modulation.

I'm finding that my MTD Andrew Gouche (Bartolini) doesn't like external preamps. It always sounds best with a compressor straight into the board with whatever pre/di I'm using at the time in bypass mode. So I snagged up a Neve RNDI-M today and made this TINY board for days where I don't need a full board with effects.

Does the Jule have an DI? If so, are you running out of the Jule to FOH or to a mic's cabinet?
The Monique is a tube DI that runs to FOH. We have no amps or cabinets on stage (or behind or under the stage for that matter), and run separate Midas rigs for in-ear monitoring and FOH independently of one another.
It's a great bass world, but the board is rather minimal with a pair of tuners and a pair of pedals. Not my design or execution, but the VooDoo power takes up the largest amount of space on that nano.
I'm happy with it.
