I had our bass player today use only my Bassrig Fifteen. It's not the most PA friendly DI for worship as it's missing a lot of the big low end frequencies that should and do get cut out on a recording but in a sanctuary we want people to feel the bass more than that. Still an amazing pedal though.

Yup. I agree. I have used a THDI for many years, but have not really pushed the gain on the AGS much to give it a fair comparison. Might pull it out this week and explore further.

Got these in the post today. Been over 15 years since I had a BB, and never owned a Wooly Mammoth before. (I have a half built kit in my drawer that I should pull out).

Wooly Mammoth. Wow. Going straight onto the board.

Okay I finally went and checked it out. It looks really cool. Excited to hear how this works out. Following this thread has me interested in the Lightspeed, but I don't really need it, and I definitely don't need side jacks.

BUT independent boost, and top jacks. Color me interested. I have my Empress Drive in that position, but it doesn't allow the boost to be run independently.

I just purchased this and love it. A great stage 2 overdrive. A Lightspeed clone with low, mid, and high boost/cut…and top jacks!

My current rendition of my bass board. Trying to rely less on the Stomp but last nighter had a house worship night so no amps; we went all direct so I used the Stomp mostly as an effects box (octave/distortion for a Microsynth tone and a chorus block) plugged in the Sansamp into the return L of the Stomp and turned off the amp block.

I think it sounded great, utilizing the best of both worlds and I plan on trying this setup in a larger setting before making any permanent decisions. I've never done the Sansamp into Return L the Stomp before; it'll be a good experiment to tinker with when I have free time.

Why do you want to get away from the stomp? I use it in a very similar manner, it's all my effects!

I'm using amps at church now so the Stomp is a bit of an unnecessary tool atm. I've been going tuner-Sansamp for most of the time but I'm curious trying out the Stomp into the return L of the Rumble 100 amp we use like I did with my Sansamp.

I am still keeping the Stomp because it's better than not having it.

I have an RNDI-M, but if there's a cable in the thru port, it's connected to something else. Usually patched in for a clean channel in my case. Not sure why you'd have one plugged in, going nowhere?

next time I'm in a place where I'm set up that way, I'll test it. If I can remember 😌

Played at another church that's new to me. Played with musicians/friends I haven't played together with for a long time... it was a great time!!!

Didn't use much on the pedalboard today. Just the Parametric EQ from the Stomp to the DCX Bass, into the KHAN DI out. No pick... all finger style today. This was a smaller church with a lot of older members... but the sound equipment was pretty nice. Midas 32X with 10x P16's for everyone. Full band (bass, drums, keys, Lead EG, AG)... which is normally a WL on AG with occasional keys. The Roland V-drums is the churches, and usually not used. The churches sound system and music gear is too OP for the norm... haha...

I think that's the best way to do it. With the fx loop you can choose what to put in front/behind the sansamp.

I caught that as well. We usually run the RNDI thru into a fender rumble as a stage monitor but I'm curious to see if that's true.
