I nearly bought one for the 3rd time today. Nothing quite does what it does.Probably not revolutionary… but excited to this bad boy on the bass rig later.
I've wanted to try one of these for quite some time.Probably not revolutionary… but excited to this bad boy on the bass rig later.
How is this pedal??Just ordered one. It will be here in the next couple of days. I'm excited to try it. I'll record some clips and share. If the Lightspeed works, then this should absolutely work. Same as the EP. I've heard the EP on bass and it's great.
So I do like it, but it does cut out some low end. Not a deal breaker by any means. I technically got it more for my guitar and I think it shines on guitar. It absolutely cuts through though. Last week was a bit chaotic, I might have some time this week to record some stuff while I get ready for this weekend. I did end up getting a Deco V2 (again for guitar). I will try to get some clips as well. I think that's also better on guitar, at least based on initial tests. How is this pedal??

Agreed. The EP side is fantastic. I'm really enjoying it on guitar. I'll probably toggle back and forth some pedals every once in a while. There's a few of my guitar pedals that I really do like on bass, but not necessarily "worship". Like the EAE Halberd and Mother preamp.I caught wind of the Konstante over here, and couldn't find any bass reviews, but I liked how it sounded on the guitars.
I've also noticed it cutting lows when toggling it on - it's just not as "weighty", instead it's richly textured - but I also don't think it's a dealbreaker because it would be an "always on" pedal. I haven't played a Lightspeed, but of the low gain drives I have tried I think it compares closely to the Saturn VI.
The other main attraction is the EP style boost. I've also never had one of these to compare it with, but I like what it does. When it's engaged solo or post-drive it adds some nice fullness. Boosting into the drive takes you from light and textured to solidly crunchy. I haven't tried to blow the lid off with it yet, but eventually. I'd also like to compare low gain sounds using the Boost as the primary gain stage instead of the drive's just to see.
Any of you Moog (or other synth) players used it on Goodness of God?
I've resigned myself to the idea of using a small board with my Super Pre rather than having it on a board.Anyone still using the Bergantino Super Pre on their worship board? Thoughts?
I'd love to see a pic. Do you run effects before the SP or in the loop? I can really see the utility of using it stand alone for those weeks when the set doesn't call for anything extra.I've resigned myself to the idea of using a small board with my Super Pre rather than having it on a board.
I use the SP stand alone at times, so that works best for me.
This is an older pic. These days I run a GLXD16+ and HX Stomp on Duo 2.0 in front. I just run it into the from because there is never a scenario where I'm running a modulation after a saturation in the SP. I'm more likely to run an octave into a saturation/ overdrive.I'd love to see a pic. Do you run effects before the SP or in the loop? That's my set up but with a MISO line isolator/DI at the end on my Nano. I was thinking of using my Nano+ and using either a Mantle or Genzler Magellan Pre/DI at the end.
