Worst band you've ever seen?

To what I understand, Chuck Berry does not have a back up band now or ever.
When he signs on for a show, it is the promoters responsibility to provide a back up band.
Obviously, this means his shows are hit or miss. One night you might get class 'A' professional musicians
backing him and the next night some local bar band. No pre-show rehearsals or meetings, The back up band never sees him until he steps on stage.
As for his guitar, when he travels, he simply checks it as luggage. His guitar has been stolen/lost many, many times. It is the promoters responsibility to get him a replacement guitar to use if his is lost en route.
When asked if it bothers him when his guitar comes up missing, "No, that's what insurance is for"
I suspect the original guitar he used on Johnny B. Good, Roll over Beethoven, etc is long gone.

A friend was on th road with Chuck many years ago as his guitarist. HE said that at that time, Chuck refused to rehearse. Acording to my friend, there was a rider in Chuck's ciontract that say he had to "appear at rehearsal," so Chuck would walk in one side of the building and out the other without touching a guitar. He expected the band to cue from his riffs and to stop by watching his leg. Given that many of his songs start the same, I can see the problems that might develop. That's Rock n Roll!

Have you seen the movie (it's not good) about Def Leppard?
The show at the Hammersmith Odeon where it all goes to sh**?

I was there.
Horrible.

Years ago I saw the "Behind the Music" about them and when it came to the lead guitar player's drinking I was surprised that he survived at all. Then they played a clip of one of his solos recorded that they probably should have just left buried and I was embarrassed for him.

Not trolling but honestly Dylan's singing always sounded TO ME like a Korean woman beating a goat to death with a live cat. Great lyricist but as a singer he's no Placido Domingo!

That's not a bad approximation, actually!

I've only recently got into Dylan - mainly after long conversation's with my other half's father who's a huge fan. The lyrics are great, but the voice is not often easy on the ears!

Oooh - last Friday it was me. Song four came up and counted down the set list. It was 'Rocking in the Free World' - easy EEEEEEEE DDD A

Trouble was I forgot - someone had put in an additional song and we were actually on song three of the set list, not four - everyone else started playing 'I Predict a Riot' BBBB BBBB DDD Db

You know it was soooo bad the band didn't actually crash like they do if you are a semitone off on two notes. Somehow a torrent of wrong notes went past them completely. And the wedding guests were to tired and emotional from 6 hours of drinking to notice either.

I think I'm the only one traumatised. Going to the next gig with 'issues' and a nervious twitch. Where's that comfort blanket and my thumb?

OK... cheating bit here... THIS IS THE WORST BAND IN THE WORLD, and YES, I would pay to see something THIS bad. I present for your sheer disbelief the band COMPLETE playing "HOOGIE BOOGIE LAND":

Let's see what you think of this :hiding:

Christ on a bike.

I'd like to think I have a reasonably wide vocabulary, but I don't think I can summon words damning enough to describe that. Just...awful.
