This is really confusing. Wait, so Ozzy arrived wearing underwear (British slang = pants) and no trousers, while Ward arrived naked from the waist down?

And Ward put on the underwear that Ozzy was wearing at the time???

I can't find an image, but Kate Bush did a performance on BBC's Pebble Mill At One in 1978 with the KT Bush Band wearing cricket whites. Not a good look.

Spandau Ballet Committed so many fashion sins in the early 1980s before it became a purveyor of washed-out, blue-eyed soul that space or bandwidth do not permit me to post them all.

Dead Can Dance - love the band, but Lisa Gerrard will be wearing a surcoat and cape and Brendan Perry looks like he's come to empty your bins.

I looked it up…

I assume it was some sort of inside joke, but as a Yank I don’t have any concept of cricket, what the significance is, why it’s so important to British culture, the clothing, any of that. On the other hand, I was too busy looking at Kate anyway.
I do know of that band Slik, that featured a pre-Ultravox Midge Ure, who took to wearing American Baseball uniforms. My first reaction would be “what’s up with that?”, but I figured it was just an exotic, unique to the UK band uniform or visual gimmick…

To think he went on to “Vienna”, Visage, and all that, that’s as embarrassing as a middle school class photo.

When our family band first started playing we (my sons and I) always dressed alike. It was the '90s and into the 2000s. When we saw cool shirts (western shirts, tshirts) we'd buy 3.
Here are some MATCHING clothes we wore:
We wore complete Dickie uniforms. One time We showed up at a bar on 6th Street in Austin and they thought we were the AC repairman they were waiting for. We ended up getting a residency there
We wore pajamas to a sorority pajama party, fortunately they wore mostly nighties.
We wore overalls to the only blues bar on 6th Street once.
We wore western shirts and boots (even the boots matched) to our first Austin festival playing straight up blues.
When we played at a Strip Club every Tues for a month, we wore our own band t-shirts we sold...the best part is when the strippers tipped Us! Ok maybe not the best part.
We stopped dressing alike in the 2010s. But before we completely stopped we would just say blue shirts tonight, black shirts tonight or red shirts tonight etc.
Nowadays I wear mostly western shirts, jeans and chucks-aka converse or cowboy boots.
Bottom line, I got no biness criticizing what others wear.

Are you kidding? My boys are the ones who peer pressured me into drinking. I had never even been in a strip club until then.
My boys are grown men but there was very little learning curve for them even in the beginning. They started playing in bars that their own teachers frequented. When they were 12 and 16 they played in a club every Saturday night where you had to be 30 and over just to get in and we had to play alot of soulful blues at that joint.
By the time they were in their 20s we were playing fulltime for a living. We had a roadie, a suburban, a following and a Blast. I wouldn't trade those times for anything.
I feel fortunate that at an age (teenage) I spent more time with them than most parents could dream about.
