I played in a band called The Fonzarelli's when I was younger, it was a dumb pop punk band.
We were playing a show at a small bar in Chicago, called the prodigal sun bar.
While we were playing the singer of the band decided to do his cool spin the guitar around punk move, which made me run for the far end of the stage. What I didn't know was that the stage ended and the next band's drums were sitting there.
I fell right on the hi-hat stand and it went up the skin on my back, I even finished the performance

A blood sacrifice to the craft...In 2012 I spent the summer in Europe with no access to a bass (though I did buy a bouzouki to scratch my musical itch). The day after I returned stateside my band had a gig. I knew the music so lack of recent rehearsal was no problem but, because I hadn't touched a bass in months, my right hand had no calluses and that gig destroyed my fingertips. I powered through and played the whole show:
