Worst pedal you ever bought!

BY FAR the worst pedal I have ever used was the Way Huge Angry Troll.

It is supposed to be a boost, but it just ruined my bass sound on every setting. Terrible, terrible, terrible pedal.

Seriously, stay away.... Stay far, far away......

P.S. It LOOKS cool though.:D

I'm pretty sure the one I had was an empty shell. Worth-less...

I have the DOD fx75b, and at first i was really disappointed because i really wanted it to be better then my behringer bass ultra flanger, but it didn't seem to do anything. then i found out about the internal trimpots, adjusted them just a tiny bit ( they would really easy make some really crazy sound and over the top, speaker popping feedback) and i tweaked the knobs and now its on my board with a really nice sound :) really dark, warm and natural feeling, but not as classic sounding as the behringer(Bf-2 clone) but i use the DOD atm :)

Two pedals:
Late 70's I had pedal-envy with my guitar playing brother. Bought the EHX Bassballs and used it all the time as my 'sound'. A few years later, I discovered how nice the bass sounded without this effect and just held onto the effect. Fifteen years later, I try the effect and realize I couldn't use it for anything. Sold it then.
More recently, Boss LMB-3. Not sure what basses Bongo used to test this compressor but his review sounded great. I used it with an active 5-string and found it's sound was NOT transparent and I also got a distorted note intermittently using it. Sold earlier this year.

DOD flashback fuzz was pretty bad, although not a bass pedal.

Boss ODB-3 was useless as it had way too much gain even for a passive P. Even then could have been fine with a mod to knock the gain down.

Must have tried well over a hundred pedals and most of them were good for something TBH.

I've never heard a Boss pedal sound good, but that is expected :)

Probably the most disappointing pedal I've ever bought was a Fulltone OCD. Useless, and unlike most pedals I don't keep I just couldn't understand why anyone would want one. Awful. I guess I'm spoiled by good dirt pedals!

I've bought a few pedals that were broken right out of the box - I guess that would make them worst in some sense. Otherwise, there was a Behringer multi-fx pedal, I forget the model, but it was several effects - delay, chorus, flanger, tremolo, I think - in one stompbox sized pedal. Every single one sounded like complete garbage, and it hissed like heck too. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

Yup, ODB-3 get's my vote! It was the first pedal I ever owned and even as a beginner playing on other entry level gear I knew it sounded like poo.

Danelectro Fab Metal, not dissing on dano here this pedal just sucks ass. i also bought it for five bucks at a fleamart because my friend was selling it.

this being said though it still have some use to it

put a nano muff in front of it turn the nano muff all the way down, max out the fab metal, turn the bass volume all the way down and slowly turn the nano muff volume up and down, and magic happend.

I am really grateful for having never had to try a bad pedal. On the other hand, I work for the GuitarCenter.com call center, and I have had a few people call to return the EQD Bit Commander saying it was the worst thing they have ever played...
