Worst pedal you ever bought!

Tech21 Bass Compactor. Worst compressor I've tried. Discontinued for good reason.

Yup...I returned it within a few days...easily the worst for me.

I haven't bought any pedals that were outright terrible, but there are some I didn't like or was very disappointed in.

EHX Bass Blogger was lame. I love the Bass Big Muff Pi and thought these two would be cool combined. The Bass Blogger sucked out the low end and had a very farty distortion sound.

Another vote for BOSS ODB-3. I saw demos on this pedal and thought they sounded great, but it added so much noise and hum to my board that I ditched it.

Boss AW-3 was a major disappointment. I couldn't find any sound that I liked on it, and it sucked out all of the low end. I think Digitech Bass Synth Wah has a much better sound.

The one that hurt the most was the Digitech Bass Synth Wah, because I really liked it. It stopped working 3 weeks later; past the store's 14 day return period. Did not realize at purchase time that I didn't even get the warranty card I was supposed to have mailed in within 10 days of purchase to be eligible for the warranty.

Actual worst pedal was a Bass Crybaby that I fortunately was able to return when I realized it just swept the tone from "somewhat muffled" to "totally muffled."

I wasn't thrilled with a Bassballs I borrowed. Odd, annoying sound. Guitar player has it now, it actually sounds pretty cool in his rig.

ehx bass big muff.

can be awesome on it's own, but totally useless in almost any mix.

I get some pretty good synth in between an mxr bod and an sa pro bef, not to say there isn't better choices, probably not at the price tho.

The behringer bsy600 could sound okay at times with very precise playing, but I had to literally slam my heel on it at full force 5 times to get it to turn on. You get what you pay for with the shottiest construction to speak of imo

I've sold a few pedals after trying them out, but the one I do not miss at all is the EHX Bassballs. I actually keep a list of what I've tried and why I got rid of it - I checked it and realized that I had forgotten to write down that I even owned it!

Just sounded awful, tuner was finicky.
Had that one - that's an oldie. Yes, pos. However, their newer multi-effects like the B2.1u are pretty good, once you get through the learning curve of tweaking. Suggestion (covers many brands): never buy a pedal that requires you to press two buttons/switches to shut the unit on/off UNLESS you can plug in a dedicated switch pedal to keep it simple. [OT]Amps without an effects loop that can be dialed in for percentage of signal are a no-no for me too.[/OT]
