Worst pedal you ever bought!

Worst pedal you ever bought!

@topo morto...Genius :D

Arion SCO-1 for me. Technically the worst pedal I've owned, at least for it's intended purpose (compressor) and yet quite good as a torn cone simulator (Bongomamia was exactly right in his review.)

For me: the B3K. Loud pop when turning it on, lots of noise, really bad tonal match for my goals. Maybe the one I had was just an early bad prototype, but it was such a bad pedal for use with a Ric and a Mesa 400+. Could easily see it being better elsewhere, but not for me.

dang the second best investment i ever made- second only to the B7K i use now, although i must say it took me a good 10 hours to figure out how to dial it in, but now its mint.

worst i ever had was t-rex chorus. it was made well and i'm sure someone loves the tone, but i could not get a sound i liked

I had a couple-

·Tech 21 Killer Wail wah pedal. Didn't seem to do a whole lot of anything.
·DOD FX25B. Again, didn't do a whole lot. Definitely not my cup of tea as an envelope filter, although as a low pass filter, it was okay.
·Rocktron Heart Attack. Their version of a Bassballs. Not great.

original Bass Big Muff. Blend mode wasn't adjustable and it was just too hard to dial in anything decent without disappearing in the mix. Hopefully the deluxe version will fix all of that.

I have a Big Muff I bought after reading a lot of reviews here. Its seems like a quality pedal but I have limited use for bass distortion in fact pump up the gain and I'm done. I have no effects at the moment. I keep think of selling it but it sits in my rig bag.

As much as I love their dirt/fuzz boxes, and their chorus, phaser, and flanger "clones" nail it, the Mooer Pure Octave is an absolute fail. Their take on the EHX Micropog, it's just worthless. A related unit, the Pitch Box(a Whammy Pedal knock-off without the expression pedal)is only marginally better, but I kept that, as it does some other usable stuff. For my guitar rig, the Voodoo Labs Proctavia was really weak, and the Giggity overdrive/EQ just didn't deliver the goods.

Fishman fission bass powerchord fx. Had high hopes for this one. Ended up being expensive, played with it for a solid 2 weeks got maybe 1 decent sounding setting out of it. Promptly sold it and I never sell my effects pedals.

+1 on that, just awful. Not well planned out in the first place, and the actual execution/result of the pedal was very disappointing. Fortunately, my only experience with it was at a Guitar Center clearance table. $60, marked down from $300+, still a waste of money. However, GC is dumping a lot of boutique-y pedals right now at insane prices, got some killer deals on Trex and Lovepedal boxes.

I didn't buy it, but the worst by far I've owned (it was a gift) was the Snarling Dogs Bootzilla wah. Squelchy, thin sounding piece of garbage. It had one good setting for the fuzz. The other good setting was OFF.

Second is the Digitech Envelope Filter/Synth. Useless in every regard.

Finally, the Digitech BP80, with its awesome fretless simulator (yuk), its shimmering chorus (is this bass working right?) and it's sweet digital compressor (speaks for itself).

That was kind of what bothered me. I spent hours tinkering with it during rehearsals and a show, yet was never able to find a sound that came close to where I like my dirt. The EQ changes that the pedal brings out did not really work with my bass, amp, and tonal preferences. Honestly, I probably just rate it too low because of the expectations that talkbass built up before I tried it. That being said, if I ever change amp heads, the B3K & VMT are the first pedals that I intend to give another shot.

Sorry it didn't work out for you. I loved mine so much I got its big brother. Never noticed wither of your problems. In fact, I dare say it's the quietest distortion i've owned. As for the pop, was yours finnish or american? If it was finnish, I'd suggest trying a US model.
