would this be crazy?? (DIY cab)

I have two speakers Eminence Delta 12 LFA and a delta 12a
And I want to build two cabs for them following the internal volume, port size and length etc, guideline from the eminence site.

I want to stack them on top of each other. but I want the front of the top cab to tilt back a bit so the sound is not just going past my legs.

Is this a bad idea for any reason?

The delta 12a requires less internal volume then the 12LFA so I want to use that for the top cab.

best to use matched drivers unless you're going to use a crossover.

I can't comment about your choice of drivers, but there have been a variety of "tiltedback top cabs (or cab tops)" done, and people seem to like them.
You can see some examples on the LDS website.
Ampeg made one (a "Victor Wooten" model IIRC) as well. There was one for sale in the classifieds here a few weeks back.

long story short is phase cancellation because in reality they're not the same driver w/the same T/S and sound characteristics. Check the stickies in the AMPS section, this is something that comes up at least 2X a week here. Not to discourage you, just sayin'.......

Tilt back could be a good idea, I'd check on Kesslari's recommendations for some more background on the concept and some previous executions.
