Would this creep you out?

Wouldn't creep me out, but it sure would bum me out. Like it still does to this day. Dime was a talented, happy, fan loving, fun loving guy. Glad I got to see him the many times I did. He would always come out to the stage edge after a show, sign autographs, give out picks, shake hands. Such a tragedy to lose him in such a terrible violent way. For no reason, other than one man's mental illness.

Well said from one fan to another! I would feel exactly the same, it'd be sorrow rather than fear or creepiness of the venue and what happened.

Its too funny, a few months back I found this....

my very first concert in 7th or 8th grade(cant find the ticket stub) with White Zombie. Afterwards in the freezing Minnesota cold Dimebag and Vinnie stood outside and signed autographs for about 45.minutes(it was in the 20's and they *are* from TX!! LOL) of course Rex and Phil were nowhere to be found. They were both super kind, I will never forget it being my first time meeting "rock stars"(which they acted nothing like)...

When I think of Pantera, I think of all the tough times their music got me through, the lyrics, the riffs, the grooves, the beautiful guitar solos and that one time I met them!! I got the privilege of seeing them 4 or 5 times later, the best being with Black Sabbath and Slayer in 99'....

Anyways, I would be honored to play that stage as I was honored to play 1st Ave up in the twin cities(where he and many others have played)... You can't approach a gig like that, or maybe you can?? I have fond memories and couldn't possibly be freaked out by it TBH, but that's just me.

I have a potential gig at the club where Dimebag Darrell was killed along with three others that attempted to intervene. Gotta admit...the thought of taking that stage is just a bit spooky.

Alrosa Villa is in Columbus...not my home market. It's about an hour and a half drive from home, I had no idea the place where Dimebag was gunned down was so close really, I guess I never thought much about the location.

I don't really have any major qualms doing the gig but, wow.
I'd be honoured, Dimebag was a talented historic figure and should be remembered with dignity.

Was at the Cincinnati Damage Plan show about a month before. The same guy got on stage. Thought he was just another happy fan, as happened so often. They pulled him off to the side. About 5 min later he came out again. He latched onto a big stack of speakers, amps, and lights. About pulled it down, broke some lights in the process. They pulled him back off stage again. The band laughed it up about it. It was crazy to find out he was the guy that did the deed.
