Absolutely not. Instruments are for players. There's instructions in my will for who gets what. It's a travesty to take a perfectly good instrument that some kid could use and put it it the ground with my rotting carcass.

Plus I'm getting cremated.

So I hope you guys are all organ donors then too

Hell to the yes. Probably be the best thing I've ever done with my life.

When it's time for me to go (if I have control) I'm chaining myself to my motorcycle and speeding off a cliff into the pacific ocean. So if I'm taking my bike with me, I may as well take a bass. but I voted no to being buried with one.

I have many basses, and many musical instruments. I've instructed my husband to cremate me with my Jetglo black Rickenbacker bass, and two of my Teddy bears. He can sell, donate, or do what ever he wants with the rest of my stuff.

It doesn't matter who gets my stuff, because I'm going to haunt it all. I'll be the ghost in question when somebody is on one of those paranormal shows. "It all started when I brought home this super-cool old P bass I got cheap at an estate sale..."

But seriously, I would rather my stuff went to people who will play them. I'm actually not terribly attached to my gear, which is one reason I cycle through gear so fast.

My granddaughter gets my StingRay 5, GK MB112, Boss multi-effects pedal, my Casio keyboard, my music, and accessories, and my friend Steve’s Yairi acoustic guitar (he died July 15, 2020). What good does it do to bury this equipment six feet down? I’ll be dead! I won’t play it! Let it continue to be used to make music!!! Last I heard, worms don’t have the ability to play a StingRay 5!!!
By the way, my grandson gets my Remington 12 gauge shotgun, my Marlin 336 .35 caliber rifle, my fishing boat/trailer, and fishing gear.

One of my best friends called dibs on my Candy Apple Red P Bass. Since he had the (good natured) Chutzpah to ask in advance, I’ll leave him a bunch of other cool gear, too.

Some of it will go to specific relatives and friends. The rest will probably be awarded as door prizes at my Celebration of Life. I’d like to be cremated.

I should get in touch with Dr. Cheese and see if he needs any knives for his collection, and a bass to go with it......

I dont even know if I should be thinking about this yet. But, i've always thought that I would like to be cremated. But if I do somehow change my mind or something that ends up in me being buried, then yes, probably. Maybe my very first bass that I ever recieved not sure. If I be cremated, maybe cremated with a set of my strings.

If I get famous, then I will want them to be auctioned off and the money be donated to a charity.

No way. I died, not my bass!

Hopefully my children will take an interest in music so I can pass my instruments down to them. Failing that, my nephews if they take an interest. I would like to keep the instruments in my family. All the rest of the "gear" I'm not too pushed. Sell it off, or help yourselves.

Im currently having a conversation with my S/O and she asked me if I would want to be buried with any of my instruments and I said “Well, yes, my bass of course!” But I wonder how other bass players feel about this. So I make this Poll.

No. What’s the point? Either my son takes it if he plays or my wife sells it. I’m dead, I won’t care.

I'm not taking it with me.

If you're carrying a bass when you get to heaven, you can't just walk through the pearly gates.

They make you come in through the loading dock, next to the dumpster. Then you have to wind your way through the kitchen, and find security to unlock the service elevator before you can go on up.
