ha! i've lived it!Anyone else run into these thoughts?
Isometimes think to myself “if I could trade in my years of bass playing for years of piano playing, and be as good at that as I am at this, that wouldn’t suck”.


If you’re a really good bass player
and could start over, would you rather be a really good drummer, guitar player, piano player, etc?
So, who would you rather be: Victor Wooten, or Dave Grisman?I’m better on mandolin than bass. At least I get more compliments. (It may be that people like the mandolin better than bass. Or. They may like mandolin players better than bass players....) But I like being able to play different instruments (bass, guitar, mandolin, mandola, etc etc.) so I guess I would say no.
