- American Original 70s Jazz (TI flats)
- Stingray 4 H Slo Special (Cobalt Flats)

I want for absolutely nothing. The above are perfect in every way. The only thing I would ever add is if they did a 70s Precision American Vintage reissue in natural.

OK, I may have mixed up some of my bass years back when I started this thread 15 years. Blame 29-year-old Tim... he wasn't as wise as present day 44-year-old Tim (but sadly 29-year-old Tim was a far better bass player than 44-year-old Tim.)

The whole "P, J, and Ray" formula is the way to go. I've come to appreciate that but for me it's more like "Some approximation of a P, some approximation of a J, and a Ray. Plus 2 or 3 other things just because."

Still own it, one of my favs. Nearly as expensive as a US Vintage series one back then, but no nitro, no case, no gigbag. 1.600,- vs. 2.000,-. That was a lot for a MIJ bass, the other limited Signature MIJ 1998 the Duck Dunn, a nice P, was only 1.000,-. Bought it used for 500,-.
So far about two pieces of my collection. But I spent far more time playing than collecting

I actually wish the one I bought at the time had been a complete Noel Redding bass and not just a Noel Redding Jazz bass body w/ a fretless neck. Because as someone who DOESN'T like the slimness of a "standard" J-Bass neck, the Noel Redding is one of the few off-the-shelf (despite being rare) Fender Js that has a slightly-wider-than-normal (at least at the nut width) neck. Oh well. It wasn't long after I made this original posts that I discovered custom basses and it's been all downhill from there, at least for my wallet.

Currently enjoying Mike Lull and Devon Smullen basses, Also a killer Chris Stambaugh fretless bass. My vintage stuff pretty much stays at home these days.

Currently enjoying Mike Lull and Devon Smullen basses, Also a killer Chris Stambaugh fretless bass. My vintage stuff pretty much stays at home these days.

Lull, Devon, and Stambaugh all make amazing basses.

I don't see the EBMM SR HH I traded you or the Warmoth P, unless "Frankenbass" is the Warmoth P.
