WOW! Just saw the ESP Phoenix-II

That is so awesomely unique. I've never seen a bass even remotely like that one. I wish someone had thought of this back in like '63.
Hmmm, I don't seem to remember anyone saying that this bass was unique or ground breaking.

I imagine it would sound similar to my LTD Viper 404 which is great! It has the same pickups. Although what really caught my attention is the slim U shape neck this bass has.
That's the one thing I don't like about my Viper is that it has a slightly bulky neck.
I wonder if they will make an LTD version of the Phoenix.
But, where would I take it? Is there some place you could recommend?

Anyway, the bass looks interesting... Personally I'm not diggin the cutaway or the pickguard, but I guess without those it'd be just a Thunderbird copy.

The lower horn reminds me of an iceman guitar slightly. Depending on the price that could be a nice alternative to an epiphone tbird.

I agree, it reminds me of the Iceman too. Peavey also has a line of guitars that have a similar vibe.
I'm not too concerned about the neck dive though, but maybe with the slimmer neck profile it will help alleviate that problem.
Your a lucky one if that doesnt bother you.Ive always loved the look of tbirds,my first bass was an epi one. Unfortunatly i absolutly hate playing them.Necks bad,pups bad,weight bad,bridge bad and the tones bad.
This could be interesting though considering. Love one in white,no pickguard with black binding and matching headstock and block inlays on the neck
Ooh ouch actually just checked the price for one,There about €2000, and thats over the net so thell come to nearly €2500 in shops
