Well, the Amazon page no longer shows the number of units left in stock. So, I put one in my cart and the price changes from $99 to $169. Hmm - probably means whoever had them at $99 is now out of them.

Glad all of you were able to score. Hoping Sweetwater will take care of me.

A (potential) 200 W amp for less than .50 per W and fits in your pocket!!! Of course I ordered one and I do not even gig! I have 30 days to put it thru its paces which I intend to do. If it doesn't pass, it goes back. If it does pass, it is incredibly cheap insurance for gigging and headphone use...

Perfect. If your other amp fails and it gets you thru a gig, it has paid for itself. If your headphone amp fails and this one comes thru, you are a winner.

I've been waiting on Sweetwater to replace my BAM200 head after my first one failed. They're on back order. Today, I cannot even find the BAM200 on Sweetwater's website. I've contacted them about that.

Anyway, surfing around looking for them and this is what I find on Amazon.

$99 price points seems to be and impulse buy for many people. You know you can sell them at this price and still make a profit. You should drop the price.

Lol! I had a BH250 and returned it because I hated it. But I bought this anyway. My thinking is that even though I own an Elf as a backup already, this guy has a DI so is potentially more useful in certain emergency situations.

Yep. I was not disheartened on not getting the deal.

I lost my Jay Ganz after a gig last year, so I have been looking for a replacement. Not sure if Jay is still making. So this was a no brainer and I do not even need to bring a preamp. Just Velcro this to a mini pedal board: tuner plus envelope filter and small reverb. I also have a baritone sax gig where I am asked to drive a POG after the Zoom. One trip carry is appealing to me.

I keep a TC bq500 as a backup to my GK mb500, it doesn't have the girth or tone of the Gk but I've been beyond impressed with the bq500 when I occasionally do use it. Didn't blink an eye getting this Bam 200 if it's anything like the bq500

I actually loved the BAM200, I sold it and regretted it almost instantly... I would have absolutely jumped on this deal if I would have seen it in time. Does anyone know if the BQ500 sounds the same? If so, I might snag one of those. I actually liked the tone of the MOSFET preamp (for a "pure bass tone but loud" type of sound)

Yes. Return shipping was more than I paid for the amp. They updated the product page after I made a stink about it not saying anywhere on the page that it was 240v. I'm still stuck with an amp I can't use.

I'm interested in that head and noticed that message in Thomann's page. Sorry you got burned.
